As Dr. Balloon asked the preliminary round of questions, I received two rude and unprofessional remarks from her. I explicitly told her I didn't want to be prescribed Zoloft and she prescribed it anyways. I didn't feel listened to or respected, after the first appointment she scheduled our next appointment a month later. I didn't feel like she cared to hear about my mental health or do any kind of integrative therapy, solely wanted to prescribe medication. Never returned.

I've been seeing Dr Barloon for the last 20 years now. She takes the time to listen to all your concerns. She is very knowledgeable about the meds that might need to be increased, decreased, or discontinued. I feel she really cares about my well being and the quality of life that I am living. I followed her when she left Richmond Center and she started her own business as 5th Street Mental Health Professionals. I am glad I did.

I was looking at this site to see review of another practitioner. I was impressed that other patients of Dr. Barloon echoed my own personal experience. My issues were fairly minor, so I can't speak to the depth of her knowledge from personal experience, but I can say that what I required was provided with knowledge, professionalism, and humor when appropriate. I would recommend Dr. Balloon to anyone, and I was so pleased to see others comments, that I had add my own support of her practice.
