My son was seen by Dr. Gail Raphael about a year and a half ago. In a 50 minute session she diagnosed him with a pretty serious mental disorder and also prescribed a heavy duty anti-psychotic medication. IMO, this diagnosis was too quick and she didn't take the time to get to know my son. I'm very disappointed that when he's expressed that he wants to get off the medication, she suggests he continues to take it with an end date that she continues to extend. I would never trust this doctor. Unfortunately, since he is over 18, I do not have any say about what she gives him. This medication makes him agitated, angry and hasn't helped his real issues. And Dr. Gail Raphael hasn't helped him one bit. She's only delaying the help that he needs.
