Dr. Gail Tasch, MD

I actually made an account to leave this after seeing the comment from a purported family member lamenting that her patient was brought off psych drugs, as if that were a bad thing (or as if to imply it was inappropriate). Dr. Tasch actually seems to care about her patients, which is increasingly rare these days it seems. She's got the long term mental health and wellbeing of her patients in mind - not mindless pill-popping and paychecks - in mind. She upfront and candid about the merits of medications and when/if they should be used and she's clearly better educated - or at least shows it - on the science and medicine than parents reading NAMI rhetoric on the internet about chemical imbalances and how to get others to do as told, even if it damages their mental health. Patient-first, not money or distraught third parties She uses meds, and therapy, and looks to understand and help people develop insight and change and regain control. It's little wonder she seems to have more success

No! This woman is a dangerous influence. She convinced my Son, a vulnerable adult, that he should discontinue the use of his medications and contest commitment. He is clearly mentally ill and was diagnosed before the age of 18. She advised him to take vitamin E and forgo meds. Please don't recommend this Dr.
