Dr. Gara Sommers, MD

As a young woman, I was scared not knowing exactly what to expect after a referral by my gynecologist to Dr. Sommers. I found a very easy woman doctor; she took her time to explain my procedure and made me feel hopeful. After the surgery, she was a great help with my recovery and after care. I am forever grateful to her and her staff, and YES, I would recommend her to any woman suffering from reproductive system issues. Rezer July 2023

When I found out I had uterine cancer and was directed to a GYN/Oncologist I found Dr. Sommers on the list. I was very happy with my decision. She is easy to talk to and takes the time to listen. Her staff is very helpful.

At first I though Dr. Sommers was great, her staff was great and I was willing to continue my journey with the practice. After surgery and a long wait on results, JFK's lab and doctor missed an error (typo) on a pathology report and wanted to do chemo. Get a SECOND opinion , it is so important. A highly recognized facility reran all the tests and chemo was not necessary. Be in control of your health and keep questioning, your body and your health.

Caring, compassionate and excellent GYN Oncologist. From start to finish she made me feel as if I mattered. She called with every test results and my procedure went well. Her staff is exceptional and I would recommend in a heartbeat.

Exactly what you're looking for when you go to see a gyn oncologist. Dr. Sommers is very easy to talk to. If I had any questions about my diagnosis or procedure she would be available anytime, anyday to talk to me. Pamela her office manager is truly an angel. I wouldn't have been able to go through what I've experienced without her coaching me and providing me with positve reinforcements the whole way through. This is a dynamic duo, from start to end. I am blessed to have been seen and treated by them. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I highly recommend this doctor, she was my surgeon for my bilateral ovarian cyst surgery, an extremely complex procedure as I had a big cyst which had to be done with supreme precision to save my ovaries. Dr. Sommers did the robotic surgery and the procedure took 4 hours and after the procedure she was able to completely remove the cyst without harming my ovaries. Today I am so thankful to this doctor as after the procedure, I could become a mom and am now blessed with 2 children.

The doctor was out of network and said they would work with us. We had a high deductible and sent us to the most vile collection agency there is and destroyed my wife's credit and sent her into depression STAY AWAY if not fully covered. She will ruin your life.
