Dr. Gareth Morgan, MD

I am a sixty nine year old male. In 1998 I had a Ross procedure involving the replacement of my failing aortic valve with my own pulmonary valve. In that same procedure, my pulmonary valve, which then functioned as my aortic valve, was replaced by a donor valve harvested from a cadaver. In 2010 my original pulmonary valve which replaced my aortic valve failed and required a second open chest surgery. In 2022 the cadaver valve which replaced my original pulmonary valve failed. I would have either simply passed away or undergone a third open chest surgery if not for the skills of Dr Morgan and his dedicated team of specialists. They inserted a Sapien valve through a vein in my leg and had me home the next day. I am eternally grateful to Dr. Morgan and his team or at least have a hope to be grateful for the next twenty years or so; A gratitude that is truly from the heart.

My son was diagnosed at 10 yrs old with coarctation of the aorta and a bicuspid aortic valve. His blood pressure got to 232/173. Dr Morgan was my son's surgeon and placed a Stent in his aorta. Was told it was a miracle he survived as long as he had being undiagnosed. The narrowing was the size of a pinhole! Dr Morgan was very cautious about how big he would make the Stent in the beginning. We went back 6 months later to open the Stent the rest of the way. To this day, my son still talks about Dr Morgan and how amazing he was. He also loves his accent. My son is now 15 yrs old and I believe Dr Morgan & Dr Darst are the reason my sons still alive today. I could go on and on about how wonderful he us and I'm so thankful we got him for my sons surgeon both times.
