Dr. Garrett Jackson, MD

Dr. Jackson agreed to do a difficult spinal fusion that several other neurosurgeons would not attempt, saying my back was 'too far gone'. After a detailed discussion of the risks involved, Dr. Jackson agreed to do a L3-T11 fusion, at a previous surgery site, for a laminectomy done years ago. I woke-up in recovery, 4 hours later with a pain level of about a '2'. That was 3 weeks ago and my pain level is a '2' or less and aspirin is all I take for sligt discomfort at the wound site. Upon discharge from the hospital, I was walking about my home without and aids, walking to the mailbox, and driving! I climbed a ladder to change a ceiling light without issue (except Dr. Jackson and his staff needing to catch their breath)! I am so grateful to 'Dr. J' and his staff for the wonderful care they extended to me, from scheduling to removal of staples. I have gratitude to Dr. Jackson for agreeing to take on my case and for his abilities to return to me mobility and a pain-free life again.

Outstanding Doctor

Dr. Jackson was very easy to talk to and he is very knowledgeable. I would recommend him to anyone who is suffering from back issues!

He was unfriendly, snarky, gave me little information, and rushed me.

Was treated with respect by Dr Jackson and his Staff. Dr and staff were good to explain questions for me and I would recommend Dr Jackson. I had lower back surgery.Aug 2nd and recovering with no issues at this point . I was told to call office with any problems or questions anytime.

I personally had a great experience. Dr. Jackson performed the surgery (a shunt revision) and it went really great. He came to see me before surgery,, he was confident and had the right to be considering I am still kicking because of his hardwork. His nurse practitioners are really lovely and his staff was all nice enough.

Did excellent job on my husband 2 surgeries

We have the utmost confidence in Dr Jackson. My husband had a very large brain tumor (meningioma stage 2) removed by him in Jan 2017. The tumor had invaded a sinus cavity as well as permeated his skull. It was a difficult surgery and long recovery (but complete!), Through it all, Dr Jackson was very positive, confident and had a wonderful bedside manner. He treated both my husband and me with respect and kindness. Follow up appts have been the same. We've recommended him to many people

He is the rudest doctor I have ever been too. Do not go to him. The staff however is nice in the office I would go to any of the other doctors in his officer but him.

I had a 3 level ACDF on Dec 27, 2016 performed by Dr. Jackson and I highly recommend him if you are looking for a Neurosurgeon. He took the time to answer all questions. I was very hesitant about having the surgery, so I made a phone call and was reassured that he would not have recommended surgical intervention unless he thought it was the best option. I am happy I chose him for the surgery. I, too, cannot understand the negative reviews. He is very polite and took time to explain the details.

My husband just had a two level cervical disk replacements performed by Dr. Jackson. I don't understand the low reviews, because he is a competent surgeon who the local nurses would let operate on their family members. He has a confident attitude that can be a bit offensive to some, but I would really prefer a neurosurgeon who is confident and competant to one who makes you feel happy and doesn't know what they are doing. Ive been in the medical device industry for 20 years, and he's top notch
