Friendly, listened to me. Will see again.
Had my first visit with him today. Went over the initial history and questions. He was very friendly and listened to my concerns, left time for questions. I will go back.

He has a set of questions we go over and I like it because it's easier to describe how I'm doing.

Dr Cassacio saw my husband. We were seeing many things that were concerning. Dr Cassacio shamed my husband for not having reported some of these things on the first meeting (my husband was very depressed then) and was extremely short w him. He did not listen to anything on the list of observations we had made. My husband left feeling so hurt and ashamed.

Dr Casaccio is a very likeable, bright, young therapist. I always look forward to our sessions together. He is stern in his treatment yet deeply respectful. My treatment with him has felt like a collaborative process to improve my overall well-being.

Don’t do it. Just find another practice. Dr Cassaccio is very stoic and cold. I was few minutes late as couldn’t find office. He was clearly pissed. My interview was super speedy, his head buried in computer with zero eye contact or compassion. Allowed to answer only yes or no, rate on scale 1-10. He’s not interested in any clarification or narrative. I was silly enough to put up with his uncaring attitude and made Third appointment. His office called, needed to reschedule, no thanks.

During my appointments with Dr. Casaccio, he sat at his laptop and read questions from the screen, rarely looking up at me while I answered. I was having a very hard time dealing with some postpartum anxiety and trying to figure out what path to take with medication. He referred to PPA/PPD as "those pesky female hormones" and didn't offer any suggestions. I ended up switching providers as it clearly wasn't a fit.

I felt like my questions and concerns about side effects I was having from my medication were not really listened to. Instead of switching things around for me or trying a different medication, his suggestion was to stay on the same medication at the same dosage, even though I had been on it for 4 months and was still experiencing major side effects. I ended up switching to a different psychiatrist who I felt actually listened to my concerns and had a good treatment plan for me.

He never really seemed to care about me or my true wellbeing. He was also extremely unhelpful in answering questions and helping me understand my situation. All he did was go through a checklist of standard questions and hardly even make eye contact with me. I eventually changed to a different doctor after being advised to by friends, family members, and the counseling center at my school.
