Dr. Gary Guzzardo, MD

I've been seeing Dr. Guzzardo for years and I've since moved away from the area but I travel to see him. I don't trust anyone else with my complicated digestive system. He's the nicest doctor I've ever been to. Years ago his staff was a bit rough but the offensive lady is no longer there. I didn't let her bother me because Dr Guzzardo is so amazing but for those bothered by her, she is no longer there.

He did 3 colonoscopies on me. No communication before or after. I did, however, receive repeated contact by the rude back office lady trying to sell me another colonoscopy. I had to threaten her with filing a complaint with the State. They demand repeat procedures beyond what's recommended, even into the 70’s. Select a practice that is honest.

I have been long time friend & patient . I battled cancer with his help & guidance . He even went beyond & helped me find a special surgeon that finally gave me my health back . He has empathy & concern without hesitation . Beside manors & integrity are outstanding . His staff has always been kind & contacted him even after hours when I needed help. I highly recommend him and will continue using him as my Dr. My daughter-in-law sees him as well for her Crohn’s disease.

Awfully rude, unpleasant front desk staff. I had to cancel my appointment due to this!

A truly exceptional doctor. He listens, he cares, he is brilliant and will keep you well. The staff is excellent too. You won't find anyone better.

Dr Guzzardo is a doctor to whom I will never return. Not only is his staff impersonal and unwelcoming, but it appears he cannot do the job right the first time. I needed a procedure to open up my esophagus which was closing. This procedure requires sedation. He did not open it completely and the problem STILL exists. When I questioned about the situation, he merely stated he would have to repeat the procedure. I had this same procedure done several years ago by another gastroenterologist who did such a fantastic job that it lasted several years.

I met Dr. Guzzardo just once. He appeared professional and friendly but I cannot judge his performance as a gastroenterologist since I decided to go somewhere else at a much lower cost. The main reason for my low rating is based on his staff. The staff, especially in the back office is extremely rude, short and condescending. Unfortunately, I generally have more interactions with staff members than with the physician so they play a very important role in my overall perception and rating. As long as you do not ask any questions, do not expect any compassion and courtesy, it’s probably okay but I would not recommend this doctor, based solely on his staff’s lack of professionalism, compassion and helpfulness.

I truly wish ALL my doctors could be like Dr. Guzzardo. Never in a rush, always LISTENS, makes you feel like you are the only patient he has to see that day. Not to mention, he an excellent Gastroenterologist.

Exceptional! After not feeling well for almost a year and seeing other health care providers, finally I saw Dr. Guzzardo who listened to what I was saying and has provided me with recommendations that are actually working! I am happy to say that the good days are starting to outweigh the bad days!

Dr. Guzzardo is absolutely the best! You will not find a nicer, more compassionate doctor anywhere. He cares about his patients and listens to what you are saying. He has been taking excellent care of me for years and his office staff is also friendly and courteous.

Dr. Guzzardo and his Staff are the best! He is caring, attentive, listens carefully to your issues and explains things clearly. His 33 years of experience are obvious. You could not choose a better Doctor. His support staff is efficient, personable and very professional.

Ok where should I start I had a problem so I went to see Guzzardo with my problem and had surgery after surgery Dr told me I had some problems but not to worry about but to make a appointment for follow up,had family issues up north ,family comes first so I got back this week to make a follow up called Spelled my name 3 time they didnt know who I was REALLY so I owed some money for my first visit they new who I was when they sent me to callection. UNBELIEVABLE still have the same problem.2 opp.

Excellent. Dr Guzzardo listened to what I was saying and made me feel comfortable. I highly recommend him.
