Excellent Care for His Patients and Their Families
My husband Jim was admitted to the hospital on November 30 with AFib, and a history of lung cancer (diagnosed April 2023) and a fungus/bacteria in his lungs (discovered in August 2023 by a different pulmonologist but nothing done). Dr. Kaplan gave Jim the best care and kept me apprised of what was going on, for Jim's entire hospital stay of 16 days. Unfortunately, my husband passed away on December 16, but up to the time I switched Jim to palliative care, Dr. Kaplan continued work to determine the best care for Jim. He was very personable and understanding of how hard this decision was for me. He was patient when I let him know I wanted to hear from all the doctors before I made my decision to switch Jim to palliative care. I wish Jim had gone to Dr. Kaplan from the beginning of his diagnosis of lung cancer. Maybe then the outcome would have been different and I would have my husband home for, Christmas. Of course that is all speculation on my part, but I would recommend Dr. Kaplan.

Medical secretary
Not very nice on phone. I called multiple times on a issue I was having and still not any better. I asked to speak with the NP regarding a question and she basically said she’s too busy. She wanted me to give her all my info and concerns but I didn’t feel comfortable. So I called back again the next day and was successful with whom I wanted to speak too

Office staff is so rude and unhelpful that I cancelled my appointment. You couldn't pay me to step foot in the office and deal with them.

I was so nervous and Dr. Kaplan put me at ease. He is an amazing doctor who is so kind and does not just fly in the room for five minutes and leaves. He explains everything so well and does not rush you out the door. I’m lucky to have found him!!

I was referred to this office by Dr. Rollins office (NEOVA) they told me to make an appointment with Dr. Kaplan, when I went in I did not see the doctor but someone else who scheduled me for testing. The testing has been done and I continue to get recorded messages from the office telling me to call, however when I call it's a machine, told to leave a message which I have "several" times but no call back!

It is a terrifying feeling being short of breath. Dr. Kaplan saw me quickly and diagnosed my problem right in his office and after initial treatment, I felt much better. Thanks, Dr. Kaplan! He was attentive, kind and I thoroughly recommend him to anyone who wants an old fashioned doctor who takes the time to listen to your problems. Wish more doctors were like him!
