Dr. Knaus is very knowledgeable, thorough and caring. He has a very pleasant demeanor and I never feel rushed through the appointment.

Gary Knaus has been my family medicine physician ever since I met him while riding in tandem on the Rio Grande trail-a period of over of 10 years. How fortunate was I that he accepted me as a patient-at a time when he was limiting his practice. Over the years, I have seen him for so many unusual phenomena that confounded me, but never Gary. His knowledge, caring, and most importantly experience has been invaluable. I once remarked he couldn’t retire until I died, a request he doesn’t appear to heed.

Dr. Gary Knaus is the very best doctor a person could have. He's extremely knowledgeable and imparts what he knows to fit the patient's situation. He's thorough. He's good humored when it's called for and has a most pleasant approach in his conduct. I have been very lucky to have him as my doctor.

I have been a patient at roaring Fork family practice for over 25 years. I’ve had the opportunity to see many of the practitioners over the years between myself and my children, although Dr. Gary Knaus has been my primary provider for the entirety of my relationship with the practice. I never find myself waiting for an appointment, sitting in a crowded room or dealing with any person who is not professional caring and proficient in their job whether it is greeting at reception, a lab technician, a scheduler on the phone, or my favorite, Flor Arroyo, MA. Even as the practice has grown considerably year after year and became affiliated with Valley View Hospital, I have always continue to receive the same personal level of care that first brought me to this practice. My visits are never rushed, my questions are always fully answered and I always walk away feeling as though I have the best people working to ensure that my health and my family’s health and well-being are a priority.

I've been seeing Dr. Knaus since 1983. I've always appreciated his sincere interest in me as a person. He takes his time and listens with care. Dr. Gary Knaus is the medical professional every student should aspire to become. He listens, he understands, he takes the time. I’ve been with Dr Gary for 40 years. Even after a move 45 miles away we couldn’t imagine going to anyone else. He’s knowledgeable, caring, an excellent listener, and always keeping up with the latest studies and medical practices. Dr Knaus has the best bed side manner of almost any physician I've ever met (as an RN that's quite a few). He is thorough, brilliant, straightforward and kind. A patient is lucky to have him in their corner. I cannot say enough nice things.

Gary has been our family physician for all of the about 40 years we’ve lived in the valley. We have been so fortunate to have received his top notch medical care in our small community. Dr. Knaus has been my primary physician since 1987. He has always taken the time to thoroughly answer all my questions and provide me with excellent and appropriate care, explaining options.

Dr. Gary Knaus is thorough, patient, kind and very personable. He has been my primary care physician for 41 years and delivered both of my children. I have enjoyed every visit to his office. His treatment and suggestions have always been first-rate. During my annual physical exam he listened to complaints about my shoulder, knee and foot and had good recommendations including an immediate scheduling of ultrasound to investigate swelling in my foot and lower leg.
