Dr Langnas is only interested in collecting money.
This guy worked all day at his primary care practice and then showed up at 7pm that night to chat it up for all of 20 seconds. I had been in the bed from 4am till he showed up at 7pm after waiting on his patients at another facility. If this isn't double dipping the system and stealing from the insurance company, I'm not sure what is. It needs to be addressed. Of course 7pm being too late to stop any procedures that I may not need because well they were already finished. He ordered test that were not needed and did not have my consent. Dr Langnas is a crooked DR that is only worried about his paycheck and not your health. If he is your attending on Beaumonts floor then request someone else. He will keep you in that bed as long as he possibly can ordering more and more test so he can pad his pockets. Unfortunately I had to go to the hospital for my condition but it could have been done outpatient and not need a bed for 2 full days. Instead now I have a $10,500 bill. BEWARE

Poor communication skills
This physician was weird to say the least. He was my attending physician at St. John in Macomb. He barely explained to me what was going on and ignored my questions. I felt like I was talking to a child with poor communication skills. He was arrogant and lazy.

Rude
Assigned attending physician at Beaumont. Rude, condescending and would not listen to information from other doctors. Arrogant. Maybe geriatric medicine is his forte but had his own ideas that differed from all the other specialists. Terrible!!!

Terrible. I went to see dr langnas as a new patient because I just got new insurance. When i spoke with him he didnt listen at all. Went in with a 12 week old injury to a fifth metatarsal. Told him specifically how old the injury was and that i required imaging because there had been no signs of a union after 8 weeks. His advice was to bill the appointment as a "physical" to "save me money" (without giving me a physical) and gave me a referral to imaging down the hall. I waited a week and called him. He acted like he never spoke with me. I got him to look up my x ray and he says he "found a break"... And that i need a boot on. Contrary to my podiatrist who just wanted imaging so he can move forward with surgery. Guy doesnt want new patients at all. Hes ready to retire and it shows; at least disclose that with new young people looking for long term care.

During a 5 day period at the hospital, this doctor, Dr. Langnas, was my "attending physician". I only saw him for less than 5 minutes on the day I was released. He was rude and did not listen to what I had to say. I was and am in paid and was told NO when I asked for pain meds to take home... not sure why they thought the pain would just go away when I left the hospital. Will not be following up with this doctor or any other from that visit. Definitely finding new doctors.

Dr. Langnas has taken wonderful care of my mother over the years. He has never been in a rush and always takes the time to make sure she understands his treatment plans even though she is hard of hearing and partially blind. She has been in her best health under his care. He has a very caring bedside manner and appropriately refers to specialists as needed. Also, love the fact he practices out of Troy Beaumont Hospital!

Has the personality and bedside manner of rotting maggots. Rude, snotty, not willing to listen to what a patient is telling him. Unable to comprehend medical conditions. His attention span is about two seconds. I was in the Beaumont ER, and he told me to go home and take the very meds I took that didn't work and put me in the ER to begin with. He claimed a Motrin would fight pain better than morpine. Worst doctor possible. Insinuated I was lying to him when I told him I spoke with the specialis

Caring for mother in hospital. This guy is one of the most uncaring, disinterested physicians I have ever encountered. His patronizing attitude towards her and family were a real let down. This guy is nothing but a Wise guy. All he cares about is a DNR as previously mentioned. ?? I Too would give a big zero if it was available! Seriously, Troy Beaumont should be ashamed.

I would not take my goldfish to this doctor. He is terrible. If he is your doctor please do yourself and your family a favor and change. You will leave his office or hospital sicker than you were when you came in. He doesn't care about patients, he's more worried about a DNR so he doesn't have to put any effort into the patients care. He is horrendous and a sad excuse for a physician. If I could give him 0 stars I would. Just hearing name gives me nightmares. Please don't let him be your doctor.

Dr. Langnas makes his morning rounds at 2 p.m. This makes it take to long for tests to be ordered and done in a timely manner. He should do his hospital duties in the morning before he goes to his separate practice.
