Unsatisfactory Visit
Doctor was impatient, rude and dismissive. Didn’t stay in room long enough to listen to my concerns, answer questions or provide adequate treatment options.

While I waited for over an hour to meet with Dr. Slaughter, the actual appointment was quick, informational, and I experienced exceptional bedside manner. I only wish I hadn't waited an hour for an appointment that took 20 minutes for a diagnosis and a cancer screening.

Made me feel like he was doing me a favor. Did nothing. Went to another dermatologist a few days later and everything was taken care of. Now I know why he was always available for an appointment. Nothing he stated on the office visit note was discussed with me, nothing! I would not recommend him to anyone. Surprised this guy is still in practice. 1 star is way too much!

Poor. Had cyst removed from head July 31st. Cut hair and wrapped head even though I didn’t want it done. Have had several cysts removed in the past by other provider and never cut hair. Scab formed so thick I had to go back to have them remove it. Today is Sept. 10 and another scab formed. Terrible surgeon. Never had this problem before. Would never recommend him.

I am a 4th year medical student that did an elective rotation with Dr. Slaughter. During my month with him, he was very educational to both me and his patients. He listened to their concerns and would attempt to explain accordingly. He even requested free visits and treatments for patients in need. He is superb with the assessment and plans of patients. I have found him to be a physician that will go to great lengths to lend a helping hand. He even helped me find housing for my next clinical rotation!

My first visit with Dr. Slaughter was a fast talk conversation but as I listen to him, he stop to listen to me. He knew my situation and looked back at my medical records from 3 years ago to insure me that it was the same symptoms. I will be going back to Dr. Slaughter to follow- up with him. And the medication he prescribe did clear up my problem.

I’ve been “dermatologist hopping” for awhile now and I’m happy I tried him. I have multiple ongoing issues & he took time to listen & address every one of my concerns. He came highly recommended & I’m glad I found him! Wait time was a little long but whole team was pleasant. Because I had such a great experience I did not mind waiting.

When I had my office visit I thought Dr. Slaughter was going way too fast, didn't listen very well either. After taking his advice and using his treatment, the issue continues. I had to almost insist he do a biopsy. Anyway, I'm not going back there.

Dr. Slaughter is probably the most condescending man I have ever met. He goes through everything extremely quickly as if you are nothing but a transaction and doesn’t explain anything and then when you ask for an explanation for something makes you feel stupid for not knowing.

He removed a skin cancer growth from my neck. The stitches he put in I had to have reopened by Dr. Cook at MUSC to drain a blood clot. Even now over a month the wound has not fully healed I will not be returning to this office.

I've been going to Charlotte Dermatology for about 8 years now. Having suffered from several different skin issues, I've been in the office often and have had a LOT of appointments. It is always a positive experience from the environment to the staff. Dr. Slaughter is very easy going and easy to talk to. I never leave with any questions and I trust his suggested treatments. Would recommend to anyone and have recommended to lots!

I read the reviews that were left about Dr. Slaughter, I started not to go see him. In fact I canceled my appointment. Then I said really I'm better that this, I decided to give him a chance and make my own decision. He seems to be a soft spoken man of few words. He came in introduced himself and proceeded to examine my condition and gave me a plan of action. He answered my questions and concerns. Once he left the room his nurse did an appointment review. App. 1/30/2018. He's a good man.
