Dr. Gaston Oumarou, MD

The worst appointment with a surgeon that I have had!! I had a consult with Dr. Oumarous. He had requested an x-ray of my neck, a CT scan of my neck, a Dexa scan in addition to the MRI that I had already done. When he came in the room, the first question he asked was, “Why are you here?” I explained for a consult…he then ask, “A consult for what?” I asked him if he reviewed my x-rays and he said no. He acted like he didn’t want to be there and didn’t acknowledge questions I asked. It was only toward the end of an 1.5 hr appt that he finally looked at the MRI. Never mind the Dexa scan that was an out of pocket expense when I had one done a year ago. I was so disappointed in that appointment and I recommend no one go to see him, unless you can prepare yourself a head of time for a time-consuming waste of time appointment.

Arrogant from the start, I had already been diagnosed and seen by the head surgeon. When I started to mention what the head surgeon said Dr Oumarou literally rolled his eyes and brushed off everything about my condition prior to that moment. He didn’t seem to have a caring bone in him. My visit with him was dehumanizing and after surgery was canceled by him he was of no support in the request for simple documentation for my insurance. I would never recommend him for anything that involves human interaction.
