Dr. Gaston Ponte, MD

It is very hard to get anyone on the phone or return a phone call. My husband had often had lapses in medication from this. His numbers are still off, and there seems to be no resolution.

Their office is a nightmare ! That’s all I have to say wow they literally ghosted me I haven’t even gotten a chance to talk to this guy and I have Cushing disease

Doctor does not care, condescending, rude........this is just a business to him. Good luck on getting test results in a timely matter. So far he has not help to find what's wrong with me. Tests that should have been done have not. Good luck getting someone on the phone.

Very disappointed ! Was supposed to have hospital follow up week of 10/2/23. When I called the office was told appointment was on 10/18. That appointment was already scheduled with his assistant—-not follow up!! But they would do nothing!!

Dr. Ponte was my mom's doctor for over 2 years and he was absolutely awful. Yet all these GPs want to recommend him over and over. He didn't even know who my mom was or any of the tests he had "ordered" for her. He does not care about his patients at all. Period. Horrid doctor.

Dr Ponte is very good. He has timely appointments, great explanations and good customer service.

I had a visit with Dr. Ponte today, one of his helpers, Mary, was nasty and rude to me. I have never felt so disrespected in my life. She practically accused me of being a drug addict. Unfortunately I can’t change doctors because I have Health First insurance, but if you have a choice please find another doctor. Dr. Ponte is very good but to feel humiliated but a woman as old as me is very upsetting.

Yesterday my mother got a call from one of Dr. Ponte’s staff, I won’t give her name but her initials were (MK) she was very rude to my mom she kept banging the phone in my moms ear either on a desk or something with metal but whatever it was it was very inappropriate. I have reported the same staff member before but it’s clear nothing has been done. My mom will not be going back to see Dr. Ponte as long as he keeps this same medical assistant, it’s sad to because Dr. Ponte is a great doctor but when your mother is treated horrible by staff you have to do what’s best for her.

He doesn’t care about patients. I’ve had to call to get my own lab work done, had to fight with the staff when my medication isn’t correct and when I’m finally seen he rushes through the appointment and does not follow up. Even when labs come back abnormal.

Highly recommend! I was referred to Dr. Ponte and I am so happy to be working with such an intelligent Dr. to figure out what is going on with me. He takes his time, explains things very well and is very curious. I would highly recommended.

Continues to be an extremely competent physician and has been for the several years I have known him!

Excellent doctor; caring for their patients, and willing to walk the extra mile, when needed. However, the staff lack of communication ressponse when patient need to communicate with the doctor.

He is a very caring doctor. He takes time to listen to you. His staff is really nice and helpful. I would recommend him highly!

Dr Ponte is an excellent physician. Very knowledgeable and takes the time to explain diagnosis and treatment options. Highly recommend.

Don’t waste your time!

Blood sugars above 400 and no help from this Doctor or staff. I have had to self treat and get a private nurse. I got a referral to a new doctor because of this Doctor's lack of care. Also, the doctor usually has you see another incompetent staff member instead of him for appointments.

First time a doctor took me in BEFORE my appointment time. Extremely caring and wonderful staff. I had to drive an hour and a half due to insurance and they made sure to squeeze me in for lab and radiology so I wouldn't have to come back. Doctor's "bedside manner" was the best I've ever experienced. Broke thinks down into simple explanations and gave a reasoned way ahead. Doctor's appointment, lab work, and ultrasound in less than an hour. The way doctor's visits should be!!!!!

Promptness, dedication, assertiveness, kindness, preciseness, knowledgeableness, and helpfulness are some of Gaston Ponte’s skills. He has helping me since day one with my condition’s journey. Also, his team answers my requests on time and they are available for all my questions. I highly recommend Dr. Ponte as endocrinologist and physician.

My experience with this clinic was horrible. My purpose for the visit was because I have a tumor on my right adrenal gland. My first issue with this doctor was that my appointment was at 10 and I had to wait an eternity to see him. Second, he comes rushing as if he was running a marathon. During that quick session he is arguing with me that I have high blood pressure when my records clearly state that I don't have high blood pressure. Dr. Ponte took time and listened to me, and asked a lot of questions. He was extremely thorough. He is very knowledgeable.
