Dr. Geoffrey Haft, MD

Dr Haft was a very good communicator and reassuring. He told me exactly how he was going to fix my back, buttocks and left leg pain. My results were just as he said it would be. I am 73 years old partially handicapped, so the pain limited me to a cane or walker. After the surgery I am pain free and do not need the cane or walker. His staff was outstanding!! Doug (MN)

Dr Haft did spinal surgery in Oct and by April l was completely healed. I have no pain and can do almost anything I want. I went from being very limited to almost full health. He is an outstanding surgeon. He is personable and caring. He is an 11 on a 10 pt scale. I was extremely pleased with hom.

From the first office visit I knew that this team was going to be a different experience than I’d had before for my spine issues. I walked in bent over and turned sideways and lived with daily pain. Dr. Haft laid out a plan and we started the process to my surgery. He changed my life. Instead of looking at spending my life in a wheelchair I now stand up straight and rarely have pain. I am now a year and a half out from my surgery and it continues to be the best decision I could have ever made. I highly recommend Dr. Haft and his team at Avera Orthopedics to anyone who is suffering with back or neck pain. He is at the top of his profession.

I was scheduled for a lumbar discectomy. I arrived at surgical center about 2 hours before the surgery. The staff were very helpful in answering questions, and getting me prepped for my procedure. Dr. Haft came in to answer any questions, and i must say, his demeanor really put me at ease. I walked down the hall to the OR, sat down on a table, and that’s the last thing i remember until i was being awakened from the anesthetic. After i was fully awake, we walked back down the hall to the prep room, and i was able to walk without pain. The operation has been such a blessing: i can now do everyday activities (walking my dog, yardwork, etc.) without excruciating pain. I highly recommend Dr. Haft.

Dr Haft is an excellent communicator and takes time to visit about my back surgery! ALL HIS STAFF, is excellent from scheduling, loving.and compassionate care at Avera to the care and checking after the return home! I am a strong advocate of.Dr Taft and.all his entire team!!!!

Dr Haft is a very skilled surgeon. He performed surgery on me and my debilitating symptoms were relieved immediately. He has compassion and genuine concern for his patients. His office staff is efficient and knowledgeable. I highly recommend him as a pediatric specialist or adult spine orthopedist.

My 6th grade daughter had been having some pretty severe back pain. I just thought it was muscle related and would get better - then she developed some leg numbness! As you can imagine we were quite concerned as parents and called Dr. Haft's office for an appointment on recommendation from a previous patient of his. We were able to see Dr. Haft in a timely manner and after some advanced imaging he found that she had a fracture of her spine. He took a lot of time and showed us the images on the computer and then used a model and explained to her why she was having pain and used words that she could easily understand. She will need a brace and rest for 3-4 months and Dr. Haft will be following closely to make sure nothing else needs to be done. I am so thankful that he was recommended to us and we will continue to see him for any of our family's orthopedic needs.

He was great and all the mckennan hospital staff were great, and the building was wonderful. Why have I been going to Sanford?

I ended up in the ER for severe pain in my right leg. I was referred to Dr. Haft and he diagnosed me with severe spinal stenosis, I had a last appointment with Dr. Haft about my severe spinal stenosis, they did a MRI which proved it, he told me I was faking it. Then went to Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. where I am currently being treated. He doesn't deserve a rating!!!

Dr Haft is amazing!!! He gave my little girl the gift of walking normal after she was born with bilateral clubbed feet. I believe without Dr Haft my little girl wouldn’t be able to walk normal!!! He is the absolute best and I will be forever greatful for him!

Absolutely excellent experience. Dr. Haft accurately diagnosed my problem, clearly explained the circumstances if issue remained untreated and very successfully accomplished the surgery he proposed. My physical problem was overwhelmingly improved. I am very happy.

Had to have a surgery to re-do a prior surgeons work. He was great!

This guy thought I was a drug addict, so he would not perscribe any medication for my neck pain and referred me to another physician who had a poor ratings already. To this day I wish I would have called his board but I suffer in silence and that is not going to change. He worked very quickly leaving me with only knowing that I have two herniated discs in my neck and a torn rotator cuff. No pain clinic, no therapy, no surgery. Thought maybe I was a wimp, but these injuries hurt others too.

Dr. Haft and his Staff did a fantastic job on my back. I had L4-L5.S1 procedure done in March by Dr. Haft. Before surgery my pain level was between 8 and 9. I couldn't walk straight and needed a cane for support. Now being 3 months out I'm pain free and can walk on my own. Friends can't believe how fast I recovered. I'm a new man thank's to Dr. Haft.
