George Durst himself can be a great doctor. If you have a problem, Dr. Durst will kindly listen about it; if you're trying to just get in and out for a quick visit- you will wait AT LEAST 1.5 hours for a 2 min conversation and $25+ copay. The issue: his staff are abysmal. As a medical assistant myself it is offensive how poorly they are at such a position. They do not return calls even if they are marked "stat", they are rude, they state they do not do prior authorizations for prescriptions (???) a major part of our job description, they say inappropriate things and talk dirt on patients at their clinical station- where other patients like myself can hear them! I have been going there for 5 years and I do enjoy having Dr. Durst as my doctor but physically dread having to go out to his office and encounter his staff. That being said I've been putting it off too long and am finally making a change.

He has been my doctor for 35 years. He is incredibly knowledgeable, kind, caring and takes as much time as necessary to address my issues each visit. I highly recommend George Durst to anyone wanting excellent health care.

Dr Durst is the epitome of the good old Southern doctor who is never too busy to spend as much time with you as needed. He has a great volume of knowledge and experience to draw on when evaluating your treatment, and a wonderful "bedside" manner. I was extremely lucky to have been referred to George by my son and he was my primary care physician for more than 10 year. He is by far the best personal physician I've ever had and I will surely miss his care. Tim Killian
