I highly recommend Dr Fivgas He’s a miracle worker
I recently had a 6 month appointment with a different Dr. What should have been a routine appointment became -quite the opposite! Suddenly, my initial Dr. ran out of the room, as I had a detached & torn Retina. She called Dr. Fivgas just in time! He wasin his car, preparing to go home and immediately returned to his office to examine my eye and prepare me for Emergency Surgery! He answered all of my questions and continued to reassure me that all wasgoing to be fine. Dr. Fivgas is my miracleworker!

He rushes in and out and has a terrible bed side manner. My mother received a devastating diagnosis and is being treated for advanced macular degeneration. She asked a simple question and his answer was very condescending which was bad enough but he actually yelled at her!!! He has NO compassion and is very disrespectful!

I am very lucky to have had this doctor when I was found to have a macular hole. Then I was unlucky to have a macular hole in the other eye within a few months, and I was fortunate a second time by having the best specialist in Baton Rouge. He repaired both with success. He is empathetic and takes time to explain and answer questions. Obviously, he has the knowledge, experience and success record to warrant my recommendation.

Dr. Fivgas was very patient and explained things to me in laymen terms and even though his office was obviously very busy, he did a thorough exam, patiently answered my questions and explained things well to me. I had what was potentially an urgent issue and they worked me and were very pleasant even though me being there I'm sure interfered with their daily schedule. Very appreciative to Dr. Fivgas and his staff. Highly recommend him as a doctor.
