This review is ONLY about office staff
I had a heart CT scan that showed something in my lower lung recommending a full CT of my lungs. I called the office to get the referral and had to leave a message. They say in the recording that patients are important and will get back to me in the order of my message. Waited all day. No call. Called next day and had to leave another message because they don't answer the phone. No call back. Weekend came and went. Monday I call and have to leave message practically begging for a call back. NOTHING. On Tuesday I went down to the office and had to ask for the referral that I had called 3 times about. 5 minutes had it with no apologies. Go home call vero radiology to make the appt and they tell me the office had to fax the referral in order to make the appt...WHAT?? I call and, of course, I had to leave a message to please please fax the referral. Next day I call and it was never sent. I had to drive down myself to deliver the referral so I could make my appt. No courtesy

Love the Dr, hate the office staff – Aug 03, 2024

The doctor himself is excellent. The problem is with his staff. They will not return calls and when I tried to get a prescription filled from Walgreens, Walgreens tells me they will not even fax him anymore because they never respond. I asked them what to do and they said drive to his office and see if you can talk to him.

Best Doctor for me
Dr. Gray is a very experienced doctor. I'm 70 years old and certainly had good and not so good over the years, but he is very dedicated to his patients. He has a very knowledgeable staff, and I would never consider going anywhere else. I feel very secure with his opinions.

I've been seeing Dr. Grey for three years.
I've been seeing him every three months for three years now. Its like visiting an old friend. He knows pretty much everything that's going on in my life as well as my health. It's worth the wait as things are usually hectic, but know he will give you all the time you need, even if it's just to talk. This is your old time doctor that cares about you and goes out of his way to give advice to help you. Goes above and beyond.. The staffing and office issues are another thing. If you call, you get a message, no matter your issue. Chances are 50/50 for a response. Personally, I just stop in to get what I need and they set you up right away. Worth the nonsense for a great Dr.

Getting anything done.
Good luck ever trying to contact the office. Tried calling all last week, no luck, no one returns calls. Called again last 3 days . no return calls. Wife talked to them yesterday. They said they would Forword her call to right persons. No return calls. Like my doctor Tim Cocks, but office is terrible.

How NOT to run a Dr. practice!
New to the area, Dr. Gray III was recommended. Staff won't answer or return calls, so you have to physically go there to communicate with them. They apparently don't use computers - there are huge stacks of physical files piled everywhere. They billed my visit as high priority instead of a wellness visit (my insurance picks up with no co-pay) I had to pay $132 and then they invoice me for more, which I paid rather than risk my credit rating. They referred me to a cardiologist whose staff also won't answer or return calls, so when I went there to set an appointment they checked the fax log and found zero faxed referrals from Dr. Gray's office (after his staff told me they faxed it twice). Also, the Cardiologist is out of the country for the next two months. I went back to Dr. Gray's office to ask for a different referral and they left me waiting so long that I gave up and left...and found a new Dr.

I've been a patient with Dr. Gray for the past 10 years. When I see him he is attentive and professional. However I am about to leave his practice because of the awful administration of his office. They NEVER pick up their phones and I have waited more than an entire week to hear back from messages left. Prescriptions aren't called in, my blood work is not reviewed, and wait times, even when I arrive early in the morning are an hour plus. The paper files are piled sky high and there is no place for office staff to move around. This practice is a disaster waiting to happen.

NEXT TIME, I WILL BE TELLING THE NON-COVID CONSCIOUS STAFF TO CALL ME WHEN IT'S MY TURN. THERE WAS ALMOST 20 PATIENTS SCATTERED INSIDE AND OUT. NO ONE TOOK MY TEMPERATURE AT THE DOOR, THEY WAITED UNTIL IT WAS TIME FOR ME TO BE ADMITTED TO AN EXAM ROOM. SO I MAY HAVE TO SIT NEXT TO SOMEONE WITH A TEMPERATURE? OR COVID? THERE IS NO SOCIAL DISTANCING DONE AT THIS OFFICE. I LOVE DR GREY III, BUT I CANT CALL THE OFFICE--MOST TIMES SYSTEM IS OVERWHELMED. NORMALLY THERE IS A LONG WAIT. THEY SEEM TRAPPED IN THE 60'S, AS THEY CANNOT SEND MY PRESCRIPTIONS VIA COMPUTER? TO MY PHARMACY--I HAVE TO DROP IT OFF--WASTES MY TIME. I MAY NOT RETURN.

I am new to the area. Upon a recommendation I scheduled an appointment with Dr Gray. After a short wait I saw him. Since it was the first time I had seen him he spent a lot of time assessing my medical history. He was totally focused on me with no distractions. After that he quickly diagnosed my issue (hernia) and referred me to a surgeon, Dr Perry. I couldn’t have been more pleased with Dr Gray and Dr Perry. I am even considering changing my PCP from my physician up north to Dr Gray. I would give him 5 stars without question.

We really like Dr. Gray. We do NOT like waiting for 2 hours to see him. They need to schedule fewer appointments at the same time!

The wait times are better at Indian River hospital than this office. The national average is 18 min, Ive been waiting 45, and still haven’t been seen. This is my first visit and doesn’t include the 15 min early request for paper work. I’ve been here for an hour. Not a good first impression for sure. I told the desk I would need to leave, they said there was nothing they can do the doctor is behind. My appointment was at 9:30, they open at 9:00 how behind can you be?

I had to change PCP when I changed Advantage plans. Dr. Grey was very pleasant, personable & extremely caring. He gave me a thorough basic exam at our 1st meeting, checked all meds I am on & set me up for yearly exams like mammograms. He did not rush me through the visit. I feel like he listened and I am confident in his care. I would reccomend him to anyone needing a new PCP.
