Pretty bad
Only good quality is easy access. Everything thing else, people and doctor perfunctory… . He was busy typing in data, listening but NOT paying much attention. I actually found him to be sneaky. ‘Not much confidence for me!

Great Doctor! Sad they quit taking my insurance.
I love Dr. Kanes. I have a complicated medical history especially for my age. He remembers all my diagnoses and side effects from other specialists and listens whenever I have a problem. It is awful going to another doctor assigned by insurance that doesn't have a longterm personal relationship with the way he does. I would definitely recommend him.

The worst!
He listens but doesn’t get it right. Withholds medications so ‘no one will question.’ In addition, he’s sneaky, like he’s hiding something. I bet a professional audit would turn up improprieties.

I can't believe anyone would have anything negative to say about Dr. Kanes. I have been a patient for years and I will never leave him. In fact, I'm moving to Jasper, GA and I am planning to keep him as my primary care physician.

I can’t agree with others. I found Kanes parochial and insular with very limited knowledge, especially pharmacology, but he thinks he knows it all, officious! He says he’s above treating very sick people, like COVIDS suspects. If you need an aspirin and a bill go while he types on his computer, distracted, go for it. Otherwise, this is a dinosaur in a current world with complex illnesses.

His own profiling, including gerontology doesn’t match his projected skill set. His recollections favor HIS COURSE of actions - trustworthy? This old fashioned office reminded me more of a barber shop, where you might get a shave and talk about medicine in the era he was trained. I’m surprised he gets current accreditations. More people will likely realize this... .

Dr. Kanes and his staff saved my life. Because he sent me for a Catscan they discovered I had a abscess on my colon that was about to rupture. The people from the scan location called Dr. Kanes office to alert them of my situation. Dr. Kanes office immediately called me, after hours, told me to immediately go to Northside’s ER. They removed the part of my colon that was assessed. If Dr Kanes had not sent me for the Catscan I could have died that night from a ruptured colon. He and his staff are truly above all expectations. Dr. Kanes has been my primary physician since I moved to Georgia 20 years ago. I originally selected him in part because of his second specialty, in addition to internal medicine, which is for respiratory ailments. The doctor has treated me for numerous ailments, including of a variety of kinds, particularly related to the respiratory system and for skin ailments. He refers to other specialists as needed.
