This review should really get a zero. Dr milowe retired on short notice in 2019 yet his website still says he takes new patients. A retirement notice would be nice

Dr. Milowe was an insightful, intelligent psychiatrist for me. Unfortunately, he had to (temporarily?) close his practice, from what his voicemail said was prostate cancer. So the "accepting new patients" said on here should be ignored. It's been a year and he is still not open again. However, his wife/receptionist was truly the most unpleasant person I've ever encountered in the business of mental health. Very stern, very cold, very judgmental. Constantly pestering about money. Yelled at me on the phone more than a couple times. Hung up on me twice. Regardless, Dr. George Milowe was a great psychiatrist and I put up with her for him. I hope he's doing okay and will be back soon.

I have been a patient for 8 years. I get along great with Dr. Milowe; I like his style of therapy. He always makes me feel like I am doing just fine in my life. His wife, Indra who runs the office is lovely. I always look forward to seeing her.

I did infact recommend Dr. Milowe to my family/friends. Just as I was recommended by a friend. I am a better person because of his help/guidance. I also enjoy his secretary/wife she is very good at what she does. I don’t see anything wrong with being STERN, only people looking to have unlawful exceptions made would. She’s not going to risk her practice. So if that makes her unpleasant to some then I’m OK with it, thats how a professional practice is run, an exactly what I look for in a doctor.

Shows little empathy or compassion. Dr.’s wife runs the office and she is VERY difficult to deal with.

I went to see Dr. Milowe for a natural way to treat my depression. Instead I was given the typical poisonous pharmaceuticals (they ALL are [poisonous]). I tried his self-advertised "hypnotherapy", which is just a 15 minute meditation session. Not a helpful "natural" doctor in any way, shape or form.

I didn't enjoy seeing him or his wife/secretary and dreaded having to go there. He didnt seem to show any actual interest in my case and just lectured me the few times I did see him. His wife is usually rude either in person or over the phone. Otherwise he's a very nice man however I would not recommend him to my family or friends.

Dr. Milowe has been the best psychoparmacologist I have ever worked with as a patient. He is warm and caring. He offers alternative medicines to boost anything that you might be having a physical problem with, not just psychiatric. I have never had a problem getting refills on my prescriptions. And he is willing to keep me on medications that work for me when other doctors have balked at what I was taking.
