I've never seen a Dr who not only truly cares about their patients, but also teaches them as well. She takes the time to encourage and fully explains everything pertinent to each patients individual needs without undermining them. Whether you're a Dr. or a high school dropout, she can and will make sure you comprehend the situation at hand and the necessary steps to take action. Bravo and 5 stars!

Dr. Shapiro Review
I found her to be patient, interested, willing to spend time with me to answer questions, and very thorough. She is also caring, with a kind personality. I felt completely comfortable at this appointment and came away with information, not worry.

Dr. Georgia Shapiro is a Hematologist
This Doctor works so hard and has a caring, sincere personna. I am 61 years old and developed blood clots 1 year ago. She was able to track the anomaly to an inherent cause. She placed me on a short term medication for surgery on foot. She monitors my blood coagulation and prescribes the medication that is best for me. Yesterday, I had a routine follow up and told her my left arm would not raise without excruciating pain. She did a hands on exam and I thought, this doctor is just so sharp. I am grateful for her. I am following up with someone she knows in orthopedics.

I was recommended to this Dr. based on what was said to be a good bedside manner. Although she comes across as a nice person, from what I experienced the treatment and care were greatly lacking. Many items were missed and I only suffered because of it. I went for a second opinion after seeing Dr. Shapiro for over a month and it was a breath of fresh air. If you want a cancer Dr. that will give up on and only focus on cancer as opposed to all matters associated with cancer you go see her.

Rushed and disinterested in her patient. Many important errors in her notes about me, but she is too busy to consider them.

Dr. Shapiro is a kind, caring and skilled physician with thorough assessment skills and compassionate bedside manner. She was able to calm our fears, educate us every visit, and continues to guide us as she cares for my husband along his path the recovery and better health.

I am a patient of Dr Georgia "Daniela" Shapiro since January 2019. In addition to being a competent oncologist she is my number one cheerleader to not give up hope, to continue living the best life I can with metastatic breast cancer. Dr. Shapiro is both competent and compassionate. I'm grateful that someone referred her to me

I liked Dr Shapiro. She was kind, and caring. She recommended a second opinion with Moffitt and I did go there. She did treat me with the recommended treatment Moffitt suggested. Getting a second opinion is great, and some doctors will follow the opinions of a cancer center, while others do not. Im not sure Iwas very impressed with Moffitt and Mayo might have been a better option. My concern is, I did not feel that between my pulmonary Dr, my surgeon, or Dr Shapiro that they worked as a team. They all focused on their own part which may not be in the best interest of the patient. Not only did Moffitt question several things about the decisions the Vero doctors made, but my new doctors back in my home state have as well. Although all the Vero doctors were caring, Im not sure they are current on all the new treatments. Ultimately, when other doctors question a patient about why another doctor did or didn't do something it leaves the patient questioning whether they got the best.

I was just diagnosed with breast cancer and met with her a few days ago. She was very caring, clearly explained everything, very knowledgable, and spent lot of time with me. She encouraged me to get a 2nd opinion at Moffitt as I desired it. She had no ego whatsoever. I really liked her and left feeling very good about her.
