Dr. Gerald Beinhauer Jr, MD

Dr. B was such a huge help when I was in the hospital. He explained everything that was going on and always had a big smile on his face. I wish he had an office so I could see him outside of the hospital.

He was the house Dr. on both of my stays not impressed with him coming in for early rounds that goes to his private business, hospital nurses have to call him if they think I need a different med, and wait for him to call back, but my biggest problem was my daughter who is an RN asked him how my sodium level was he had to look at my chart than said low humans don't live with sodium this low, I heard him say it. But when you're in a hospital you have no say about the DR. they assign. Just glad my nurse daughter was there.

Was in hospital for 8 days. He checked in with me every morning (very early) and asked how I was FEELING on top of already knowing and going over the daily test results. He was patient and LISTENED. He answered questions and was happy to discuss any personal concerns. When I began to feel worse, he quickly let the gastro specialist team know about these changes so that proper testing/treatment could be administered.

Attitude stinks. Was treating my mother in law at hospital. Didn't return call when nurse called him. Three hours later she tried again to tell him we were taking her out of the hospital. He answered and said go ahead he wasn't going to argue with us. Her arms/legs were swollen which isn't good for someone with Congestive Heart Failure. Think twice before going to see him.
