bravo doc!
dr zemel did a wonderful job for my 102 year old mother's pelvic biopsy----very efficient and totally painless even with the requested minimal anesthesia. she was wide awake and alert in recovery and left for home shortly after. he was very friendly and approachable after surgery and we are very grateful to him.

Dr. Zemel is a dedicated and caring surgeon.
I am writing on behalf of my daughter who had a liver ablation at the talented hands of Dr. Zemel. Pre-surgery he explained to us the ablation procedure; he listened to questions; and he gave us a calm understanding of what to expect. Post surgery he was kind and caring as he explained how the surgery went; that the ablation was a success; and he assured us he expected a safe and easy recuperation. His calm and factual assurances would trump bedside manner any day, and he gave us complete faith that my daughter was in competent hands.

horrible - dr left infected port, which he installed, in instead of removing. He said it wasn’t necessary. Poor judgment on his part as a few days later I ended up hospitalized for 10 days with a severe infection caused by the port. First thing done at the hospital was to remove the port.

Dr. Zemel performed a guided bone marrow biopsy on me. The procedure did not go well but he wouldn't listen to me. There was a lot of bleeding. The blood was dripping from the table i was on. And he ignored me when i said i was in pain and awake for the whole procedure. I hope he treats other patients better.

This amazing doctor saved my life when he was at Baptist hospital. I had a baby and a severe stenosis of the aorta. I’m still good today over 20 years later!! I got to raise my daughter thanks to him and the fellows at Baptist in Miami.
