Dr. Geraldine Huey You, MD

Waiting now for an appt. that was supposed to start 40 minutes ago! Every appointment she is late! one time in the office I waited over 1.5 hours for her. I have to see her to get medication refills - want to get off and move on with life away from this psych-medication...

When coming in person or virtual, each visit has started 15-50 minutes late. I have re-explained my family history in the majority of our sessions along with other basic personal info. Dr. Huey begins each appointment by reading near, if not word for word what you said in the previous vist…every word! In that theme, this may be just be me and, I often felt no effort being made to be delicate with sensitive subjects. Finally, it is my understanding someone in her role would be able to give any description of how medications work besides anecdotal evidence she has seen. I have asked specific questions every visit that get glossed over and ignored consistently. Along with someone else that has rated Dr. Huey; I also have been wanting to find a new doctor however I am very willing to put in the effort at this point. I truly have tried to be understanding and make it work however I CanNOT recommend this office, particularly if you require specialized care Ex: ED, PTSD, etc.

Dr. Huey is an awesome doctor. She has helped mentally and emotionally. I suffer from depression and immense mental needs for my husband. I also have Narcolepsy sometimes combined with Cataplexy. Her treatment plans continue to amaze me. Don’t look further for the best doctor around. SHE IS THE VERY BEST!

She Doesn't listen to what you're saying, always late. Even skipped a couple of my online sessions (the Physiatrist) And The staff failed to notify me of their "Mistake" the couple of times I've had problems getting into my sessions. I came in for Anxiety Medication and the Physiatrist and her Nurse practitioner both will not listen, (Even if you tell them you're doing fine) They just want to keep increasing dosages and also would not stop pushing mood stabilizers onto me. She's money hungry and wanting to just dope you up on medications. Please find and search for a safer Psychiatrist!

I have been seeing Dr. Huey for years now. I love her. She is dedicated to her profession. I am very pleased. I trust her positive direction for my well-being, her compassion, honesty and how she has dedicated in helping me to realize I matter. So taking care of my health is very important. I love her personality. Come in crying leave out laughing and believing I can make it. Love, Love, Love her! It took my a while to trust the process. I had a lot going on. ????? #Team Dr. Huey!

Dr. Huey has been a very helpful psychiatrist. I would suggest that her bedside manner might be better suited for patients with either a good sense of self/patient advocacy or at least a strong interest in being fully honest and forward in how the medicines affect them and what they are comfortable with. Recently diagnosed with ADHD, she has been very helpful in working with me on options my ADHD symptoms. ADHD medicines are very personal in effectiveness, and she has been flexible but cautious as we have tried several before coming to the most effective types, combination, and dosages for my mind & body. Her primary treatment is through medicine--sometimes encouraging medicine for sleep and anxiety that I was hesitant about, tried, but did not feel comfortable with the side effects. But, she has been responsive and flexible with me, always persisting, though, in understanding the benefits and side effects, while providing recommendations, if needed.

Has been a huge help and guide through my mental health journey. Would recommend her expertise to my own family should the situation arise.

I have been going to Dr. Huey for about 5 years. She has been nothing but the best for me. She has genuine caring and compassion for my situation. She really listens to my needs and concerns and does everything to help me. I feel that I have a better quality of life because of Dr. Huey and I will continue to keep her as my physician.

No empathy. Just in it for the $$$$. Doesn’t care and always late even first appt of the day.

This woman has turned my mother into a zombie. Over prescribing medication and rarely ever actually seeing her. If you care about your loved ones, find another doctor. All she cares about it loading people up on pills to "fix" their problems.

If you want some consistency with a physiatrist go to Dr. Huey. Constantly late with appointments, constantly forgetting crucial details, and constantly overbooking patients. Never changes.

I was not impressed with Dr. Huey. She kept changing my medications after I specifically told her I was doing ok. Dr. Huey does not listen to her patients.

Always takes her time with me! She never stops trying to help!

Compassionate, dedicated to create a treatment plan to lead toward success, willingly LISTENS to me as the patient, considers total individual, patient, calming and reassuring, and totally professional. so pleased that I was able to locate such a reliable source!

She is very thorough without wasting time. I trust her direction without hesitation and have had only positive improvement since beginning to see her approximately a year ago. Very pleased and will continue to be in her care.

I have been going to Dr. Huey for years. I've been telling myself I need to find a new doctor, but it's just so hard to do! I'm finally ready to take the time and find a doctor best suited to me. Dr. Huey is great, but she is always changing my dosages and the pills I take... even if I say everything is okay. And she doesn't want to prescribe the medications that have been proven to work. It doesn't make sense and she just doesn't listen to you when you say so.
