Dr. Gerrit Dunford, MD

I had used Osipova before but not Gerrit Dunford. He came into the exam like a breath of fresh air. Lovely smile and handshake. Energetic vibes. I thought, gee are the gods going to be good to me again? I had robot-assisted laparoscopy for an inguinal hernia. The surgery went well and he called me the night of the surgery to see if I was OK. Great bedside manner. This man is a real mensch. I bet he has a good sense of humor.

Dr. Dunford did more than help me through a terrible appendicitis which resulted in multiple abscesses and an appendectomy with 20+ adhesions. He was there for me like no medical professional ever has been. There isn't a single person in this world I could recommend more for anything as I do Dr. Dunford as a surgeon. Simply a consummate professional with deep empathy. I thank God that he came into my life when I needed him most.

I developed an inguinal hernia that needed surgical repair. My primary care physician referred me to Dr. Gerrit Dunford for a outpatient repair. Dr. Dunford is a fantastic doctor. He is super knowledgeable, a skilled surgeon and very energetic. The hernia repair went much easier than I anticipated. I attribute this to Dr. Dunford's skill and the excellence of his staff and the staff at the hospital. And the repair is perfect. I would go right back to Dr. Dunford if a need ever arose in the future.

Dr. Dunford and his entire staff put me 1st. I could not have dreamed of a better surgical experience.

MOST AMAZING DR AND SURGEON IN THE WORLD!!! There are NO WORDS to describe how lucky I was to find Dr Dunford and his AMAZING office staff. Dr Dunford was not only was patient, took extra time/care to help me through my surgery process, but also took a real interest in my life related to my overall health and social emotional well-being as I navigated through the surgical process. I can not say enough about not only Dr Dunford but his unbelievable office staff who really took the time to ensure I had everything I needed during my journey that resulted in surgery. I can actually honestly tell you that after this process not only did my surgery fix my medical issues, I actually have become healthier and subsequently have improved my quality of life by following his recommendations! One of the best surgeons I have ever meet and this was my 10th total surgery! jn

I have worked with many amazing Doctors, yet Dr. Dunford has impressed me not only as a skilled surgeon, but as a person that truly cares for his patients and their families. He goes out of his way to provide care and comfort. He truly understands his patients’ fears and concerns and he takes as much time as necessary to answer every question. I’m so grateful that Dr. Dunford was the surgeon on call the night I brought my Brother to the ED that required an unexpected surgery. Thanks to Dr. Dunford and his team my Brother had a very positive outcome. Highly recommend!

Dr. Dunford treated me for after wound care and he was amazing. He prescribed a course of treatment for 3 months that helped me heal. He was totally invested in my health and well-being, and approached the problems I had from a wholistic perspective, providing me with the care and treatment I needed. He was always thoughtful and one of the few doctors I felt was totally invested in my well being. I highly recommend him to anyone.

In May 2020 I had double inguinal hernia surgery by one of the surgeons in this group. I had complications immediately after the surgery and had a good deal of discomfort for months after. I made an appointment with one of the other doctors who had a great bed side manner and was genuinely focused on my issue. He set up imagining to see if there was still a hernia present. Where things went downhill with Dr Gerrit Dunford is on a subsequent appointment we made a plan moving forward and then it was as if I no longer existed. He never contacted me about results of my imaging. There was no follow up after 2 messages left and an email. He even said in my last appointment that I should call him next week to remind him about a certain action plan we were moving forward on. The office is not very proactive with their patients. If you are looking for a hands off approach where you are following up constantly with them, then this is your doctor to visit.
