Dr. Ghanshyam Patel, MD

I would not take my dog to see this man. My sister was admitted through the ER at Riverview with acute coronary episode. She was hurting in her chest with numbness down her left are. She had pain in her back and left shoulder that ran up her neck in her jaw. He came to see her after she was admitted and he sat down and asked her if she had heartburn. She replied occasionally. He said you have acid reflux and nothing else. He never examined her and never came back to see her. She was released from the hospital 3 days later with acid reflux and in worse pain than when she was admitted. We took her to Erlanger Hospital in Tennessee the day she was released where the doctor actually cared and ran test and found out what was going on with her. This man has no respect for anyone and does not care about their pain. He would not even listen to my sister when she tried to tell him were she was hurting. To call him a doctor is a joke. If it would let me I would not leave him any stars at all.

Dr. Patel treated my 84 year old Mother during a hospital stay. She was having many issues other than her heart, Dr. Patel went above and beyond to get her help with issues not related to her heart when we were getting no help from other doctors. I can never express the gratitude for him when we were struggling trying to get any help. His office staff were extremely kind and very help.

Dr G Patel is a very great Cardiologists in our town. He cares so much for his patients and will do all he can to treat your issues. I trust him with my entire family to keep us heart healthy! Great bedside manner and truly a great person!

My family couldn’t ask for a better team of professionals than the group at Cardiovascular and associates. Dr. Patel is, hands down, the best doctor we ever had. His abilities to truly listen and be empathetic to the needs of his patients are second to none. He’s a compassionate professional who genuinely cares about his patients and challenges them when necessary. We are truly blessed and thankful for Doctor Patel...my father had quadruple bypass over 16 years ago and is still alive today!

very friendly. explained all test and results in a way that we could understand. he was able to advise me on my healthcare needs without making me feel awkward or ashamed of my weight.

My father had open heart surgery and had to come to this doctor for special reasons. Patels assistant was so hateful and rude to him. Told him to shutup and that she would let him know when to talk. And my dad can't walk fast because he has a hurt foot and she was being rude about him not running doing a heart test. Would NEVER recommend him to anyone!!

The doctor never explained anything about my condition. I was always confused about what is going on. I was consistently getting a very good stress test results like 15 minutes of treadmill and reaching well over 150 bpm. I never felt anything wrong - exercising well and no symptoms at all. Just within few days of good stress test I was called in for a cath process and the doctor put a stent without any reason. I will not go to him again or recommend him to anybody.

I had 3 heart stents placed by Dr. Patel, thinking I was only having a heart cath test.. Dr. Patel ask me after I had been drugged for the test did I want open heart or stents--no other options were afforded or given me such as would I like to talk with my son and wife or would I like a second opinion. I would not recommend Dr. Patel to anyone unless you want no options for their condition whatever they may be.
