A Terrible Experience
Gideon Lorber performed what was supposed to be an outpatient procedure on me. I experienced complications that resulted in an ER visit the day after the procedure and ultimately a three-night hospital stay that included blood transfusions!

Very Knowledgeable Doctor
Dr. Lorber has been my urologist the past four years. I sought his treatment after an elevated PSA. He has guided me through a prostate biopsy and cancer diagnosis. He was very informative and takes time to answer all of my questions. He was knowledgeable and offered me all options, each thoroughly explained.

I went to Dr. Lorber when my PSA was 7. He ordered another one that was in the 8s. After a prostate biopsy (NOT fun), I found out I had cancer. He called me into the office to discuss options. He explained every possibility, the steps, outcome possibilities in EXTREME detail. I felt like I had just taken a college course in prostate cancer.

Very Dismissive
When I asked Dr. Lorber a question, he replied too many conversations, and left the exam room. Call me crazy but you should be able to communicate with your doctor.

Dr. Lorber’s office staff was mostly friendly and professional. He was attentive but somewhat restricted in his interactions and responses. Although this was my first visit, he took little interest in getting pertinent information or responding to my questions. Examination was cursory. I was not happy about the visit.
