Dr. Giovanna Ciocca, MD

Waited nervously for weeks for the results. Why they book f/u 1 month later seems odd. They don’t call you with results. You never see the Dr anyway , only PA’s. They wouldn’t send me into examining room to get biopsy results due to their incompetence in handling my insurance. I visited them several weeks b4 and my insurance approved. Left after 1 hour and they had seen all the other patients in waiting area. Now I don’t know the course of treatment. Incompetence ruled on this visit!

This physician is inconsiderate having no respect for their patients time. After her office had repeatedly confirmed an appointment this physician failed to keep it, having no qualms about stealing a day in the life of a patient. No notice from this doctor that she's running late, no apology, nothing! The fact that a patient needs to restructure their entire day to accommodate this doctors schedule and not be seen is reprehensible. After waiting and waiting and waiting I informed the office staff I was leaving; that I wish to speak with the office manager ( who never contacted me ) and never saw this doctor.

Worst experience. I had to wait almost 2 hours to see Dr. and finally when I saw her she was rude and arrogant, even during our conversation she began to give instructions to the nurse and then left the room without asking if I had more doubt and without say goodbye, so I assumed she would come back and it wasn't like that. Finally a week has passed since my appointment and they have not yet sent the prescription to the pharmacy, I have called several times and they still do not send it.

I trust Dr. Ciocca. I have changed policies so I can see only her. Due to insurance policies I have had to see 2 different dermatologists in the past couple years. I did not feel like I was getting the same thorough attention with them as I got with Dr Ciocca. I'm thankful I found a company that she's a provider with. Just recently saw her and was not disappointed.

PA examined daughter even though appt was made to see the Doctor. PA gave one diagnosis that we already knew was WRONG because we were already referred by an infectious disease specialist, but she ignored us. We refused to leave until the actual dr saw her, & she confirmed the other specialist's diagnosis, however the dr was unbothered that her PA misdiagnosed a serious autoimmune condition and was mad AT US for being upset about it!! Save your patience and the likelihood of being misdiagnosed.

Daughter missed a day is school for nothing, Dr. was to busy with a meeting and had to send a P.A. after waiting almost two hours. When the P.A. arrived in the room she completely disregarded everything we had to say, and made a diagnosis (which was conflicting with the dermatologist). My daughter has a serious skin condition and the P.A. wanted to send me home with cortisone cream. Staff was rude, and worst of all the medical attention was not up to par.

She is a great Doctor. Kind, knowledgeable with excellent bedside manners. I will recommend Dr Ciocca without reservations.

Staff extremely rude, over 30 minutes on hold to talk to somebody and over 1 hr to talk to a manager which decided to transfer me to a nurse without listening to my concern/complaint.

The new office is incredible. I love the staff and the vibe you feel.

Dr. Ciocca is the best dermatologist dr in miami and i love her staff !!!

I LOVED THIS OFFICE, THE STAFF IS VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL. THE WAITING WAS REASONABLE DUE TO THE AMOUNT OF PATIENTS THEY SEE PER DAY. THE DOCTOR WAS VERY NICE TO ME AND ANSWERED ALL MY QUESTIONS. I'VE BEEN BACK FOR MY FOLLOW UP APPTS AND I WILL DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS DOCTOR TO ALL MY FRIENDS.

The office was very nice, I waited for a while but is worth it the dr is great. Very happy and enjoyable staff.

the office was very helpful, the doctor is great and she know a lot her specialty. I had the chance as well to meet the PA and she was super nice and knowledgeable.

Very unprofessional front staff. I waited for 50 minutes and when I asked the front desk how much longer. I was told that I had to wait another 30 minutes!!! I pulled my son from school for nothing! What a waste of our time!!! Never again will I make an appointment with this office. They really need to learn how to communicate with the patients.

Wanted to have daughter's acne checked out & advice given; 9:15am appt; arrived at 9am; handed over insurance new patient paperwork and still 45 minutes later - not called in; (3) other clients arrived after me and were seen before us; needed to get child back to school and all the front desk staff said was they were on hold waiting to verify my insurance; are you serious? So wasted my time and my child's time. We're in Miami folks; competition all over; time to check out the next option.Wakeup

I never seen to Dr. Ciocca, very frustrating experience I made an appointment with Dr. Ciocca and was seen by her physician's assistant or ARNP no by Dr. Ciocca. The staff should de professional and be sure if the client or patientis agree to see ARPNP or PA, because as a patient we have to be informed and participate in treatment decsion, I dont konw if you are informed the patient's rights. My opinion about Dr. Ciocca is on base of the ARNP/PA.

Dr. Ciocca seems to be a very nice lady but she is not a very competent Doctor. After spending not more than 10 minutes with us, she was out. She politely listened to me but paid no attention. Her incompetent diagnosis of my daughter's serious skin infection as a regular pimple was strange. She told me it was nothing to worry about. We looked for 2nd and 3rd opinions, ordered a blood test and the treatment required antibiotics. So, no, I cannot recommend her as a doctor.

I am unable in good conscience to recommend this doctor to anyone. My experience in trying to secure a prescription was unacceptable. Several phone calls were ignored both by myself and my insurance company who later sent me a letter saying they could not get the office staff to return their phone calls. I called and complained and asked to speak to an office manager but was again ignored and again I never received a return call. I finally gave up and decided to look for a new dermatologist.
