Dr. Giridhar Burra, MD

I was treated by Dr. Burra for a torn ACL. I am a 44-yoa male, and a police officer. Dr. Burra took great time to counsel me on treatment options, fair options to consider with or without surgery. I made an informed decision to have the surgical reconstruction after few weeks of therapy. Dr. Burra had great bedside manners and addressed all of my concerns, without pushing me toward a treatment option. Surgery went far better than I was prepared for, and 9-months later I'm fully recovered. Please consider seeing Dr. Burra.

He reattached my bicep tendon by my elbow. Did it April 27 and feel great the end of August and am released back to work.

Dr. Burra and his staff are top notch. I went to two other providers before going with Dr Burra. The two other surgeons want to do a complete replacement. Dr. Burra and his team agreed the wasn't necessary and repaired only what was damaged. The Dr. and his team fixed my left shoulder so well. I had him repair my right shoulder. My wife, a physical therapist unequivocally recommended Dr. Burra for my shoulder surgery. Over the course of many years, she treated many of his post-surgical patients. She recommended Dr. Burra because she saw that he always gets the best possible outcome for his patients. I too am very happy with the outcome with my shoulder surgery. Working with Dr. Burra and team, everything was easy and efficient.

Dr Burra immediately identified the problem based on symptoms and an office assessment. He recommended therapy and advised us that if his diagnosis was correct therapy would not fix the problem. After not getting the necessary results he performed surgery. 6 months post surgery the pain is non-existent and the mobility is beyond what we could ever have imagined. The patient was not a world renowned athlete, but that didn't change the treatment plan Dr. Burra provided. Getting this patient back to a "normal" life was the end goal and he made it seem important. He took time to engage with us each visit asking about us and sharing bits about his own life. We didn't see him every visit, but the rest of his staff filled in quite effectively with the same personable approach. The real part is that Dr. Burra didn't sugar coat. Up front told us exactly what he'd do and exactly what was expected of us. His communication and skill as a surgeon are equally incredible.

Dr Burra was recommended to me by my son, who is a PT and had shoulder surgery with Dr Burra. Dr Burra and his team were very good at answering my questions and being accessible when needed. I was having issues with both shoulders, so he treat my right shoulder before operating on my left. I’m 72 and five months after surgery I’m again fully functional with no pain thanks to Dr Burra. My joints began degenerating at an early age (13-14). Thankfully, my father believed my pain and discomfort even when countless doctors didn't. He helped me continue to search for someone to help me and we eventually found Dr. Burra. Dr. Burra took my pain seriously from the beginning. He treated me with respect, patience, and kindness. He performed my fist shoulder surgery in 2009 (SLAP repair, right), my second in 2011 (SLAP repair, left), and my third in 2022 (biceps tenodesis, left). I have been successfully treated by him now for over a decade, and I could not recommend him more. I have been proven right to trust him with my life; this is not an exaggeration, as my mental AND physical health were deteriorating due to my severe chronic pain. Every single surgery brought me to a level where I felt I never even had shoulder issues at all -- I feel like I was born with perfect shoulders. I will continue to be his patient likely until he retires. 5 stars. 10/10.

My choice of Dr Burra to treat my shoulder injury was one of my best. He has great bedside manner and understands the needs of the patient. Dr Burra educated me about the internal workings of my shoulder and the need for a repair. He made the whole process much easier than it could have been. His staff is top notch and always friendly. It was a pleasure to hear their interactions in the hallways and it seemed like a place I would enjoy working. I would DEFINITELY recommend Dr Burra for treatment.

Doctor Burra is down to earth and takes the time to talk to you about the whole process and is there to answer all your questions and keeps track of your PT also and if you miss he wants to now way keep up on his patient and your progress makes sure to keep you on track

Dr. Burra is an excelent doctor. He has completed a bicep repair surgery for me in the summer of 2021. I am writing this review after the last follow-up visit 6 months later. I am giving doctor Burra and his team 5 stars not only because of their professionalism. They are very supportive and carrying people. The surgery and the recovery process went as expected with no issues. Dr. Burra made the surgery happen in crunch time, helping with rushing all the tests and preps. All questions were answered, no time wasted.

Dr. Burra has performed many surgeries for me and my family. There is no better orthopaedic surgeon out there. He is so skillful, kind and caring, I wouldn't trust my orthopaedic health to anyone else.

Dr. Burra is an excellent surgeon. I saw him after several recommendations from friends and coworkers, and am I glad I did. I saw Dr. Burra for a shoulder injury I suffered at work and after already seeing a different physician. The other physician did not really treat my complaints and told me I would have to deal with the pain and problems, part of getting older and having an injury. Dr. Burra and his staff took their time listening to my complaints, explaining why I was feeling what I was feeling, and letting me know my options. After a trial of conservative treatment with physical therapy, I ultimately needed surgery. Dr. Burra and his staff answered all of my questions, never made me feel rushed, and gave me a sense that he legitimately cared for my wellbeing. Everyone was sincere in taking care of me. I made a full recovery, have full range of motion back, and no more pain!! I have found my go-to orthopedic if I ever need anything else done! Dr. Burra will not disappoint!
