Dr. Giridhar Veerula, MD

One his nurse practitioners came in to see our new born at the hospital the day before we were set to discharge. She explicitly stated that Dr Veerula would be in the next morning to check baby out so we would be discharged. We were told by 2pm we would be heading home. After 2:30 came we called Veerula office and they stated he would not be in to see us until after 5pm. I’m not sure why his practitioner would tell us the morning.. sat at the hospital for another 4 HOURS for no reason but to wait for a doctor that after reading the reviews on here he rarely even sees his own patients. We have another kid that has gone to Veerula for 2 years and we have yet to have him or him even see our first child. So my question is why isn’t a top notch doctor have any type of time schedule or communication with HIS STAFF about discharging his patients especially since he rarely even see his patients. What does he do all day.. to sum this up .. DO NOT TAKE your kids here or think about taking them t

This office has a horrific phone system and etiquette!! I called this office to assist my sister in law with follow up while she couldn’t because her child was incessantly crying. I was transferred to a “Nurse” which ended up being a voicemail with absolutely zero greeting. I had to hang up, call back and ask to be connected to a nurse, not a voicemail with no greeting. The receptionist (who doesn’t seem to have appropriate customer service skills) indicated that the Nurse would place a call back to my sister in law due to my niece (an infant) attending an appt for a procedure with the physician and a fever developing the very next day. Albeit risk of infection is communicated before any procedure, this office would not follow up with a simple call back to address this in any way. If there are procedures taking place at this office, there should be open appointments for the following few days to ensure any possible infection is promptly followed up on.

Dr. V is where I take both my girls and there’s no one else in Fort Wayne I want recommending treatments for my girls than Dr V. He is very knowledgeable on best practices and preventative care we can do at home for our girls as parents and he spends the time explaining the “why” behind it.

As a new patient I was overly impressed with the attention to detail from the doctor and staff. Yes there was a wait but far as I'm concerned children's care is worth it especially when it's quality care.

Dr. Veerula really cares about his patients. The wait maybe a little long but that's because he is taking time with patients. I have friends that travel 2-3 hours just to see him and get his advice. Dr. Veerula is the best!

Great environment, explains everything and makes you feel welcome!

The wait time is entirely to long. Anytime I go to there office I'm there at least an hour. I actually dread taking my girls there because I know I'm gonna be there a while.
