She wants you to book every six months with her but when you leave the office you can’t book yet you have to wait many months to book. Then I booked my appointment and three times within the past year and a half. She has canceled the appointment. But it’s next to impossible to rebook with her. The staff is extremely rude and unpleasant and unhelpful.

AFTER doing a ton of bloodwork that cost a pretty penny, I go to my follow up. It was cancelled, but they didn't tell me. Rescheduled... That was cancelled an no explanation, no new appointment, no new doctor. VERY frustrated. Maybe for the better... I think she has a standard set of drugs she likes to prescribe or favorite "lecture" to give. If you have an estrogen driven disease and aren't for HRT, may not have been a good choice anyway.

I have been a patient of Dr. Hakkarainen for about 3 years on both the OBGYN and functional side. I recently needed my hormone levels checked and made an appointment for blood work that was cancelled and rescheduled 2 times, both on the day of the appointment. I finally had the blood draw and scheduled an appointment for a consult. The appointment was confirmed and payment was given, only to have a phone call a few hours later cancelling this appointment as well. It has now been 4 weeks since the initial appointment was made for the blood draw. I've never been treated so disrespectfully as a patient. It seems to me that her staff is disorganized and that little consideration is given for patient's time, schedule, or symptoms (which in my case have grown miserable). I am leaving her practice and am offering one star to her and her staff. Buyer Beware.

The blood draw was taken, and on check out was presented a bill of $643.75!! I was told this includes the follow up appointment. The client next to me was checking & was also questioning her bill for a beauty treatment, and the front desk girls were snappy with her, and were name calling her after she had left the office. The girls were also sharp with me, which I did not appreciate. A week or so later, the results arrived and I was shocked to see there was no result for the T4, THE MAIN REASON I WENT TO THEM IN THE FIRST PLACE. I emailed about this and received the below from the front desk. T4 is only as requested by the patient. Once the labs are done, the lab will throw out the blood unfortunately, so we would have to redraw. THE OFFICE/FRONT DESK CHANGED THEIR EXCUSE ON WHY THE T4 WAS NOT DRAWN, which is absurd, and have made multiple excuses and will NOT ADMIT to any mistakes on their part. They also wanted to ’TALK’ it through & not get things in writing, & trying to blame

The visits I have had with Dr.Hakkarainen have been less than enjoyable every time I have gone. Her office staff is rude and not helpful with whatever you need, I have been hung up on several times while trying to discuss medical records and told one thing and then it isn’t the case. I went to discuss lab results that were taken a month and a half before the visit to ensure she had the results. When I got to my visit I waited over an hour in the waiting room and then another hour in the exam room to then be moved to her office to wait another half hour to see her. After all of this she didn’t have my lab results and said they had not received them yet. As a healthcare employee I can confidently say that it does not take almost 2 months to receive an ultrasound from a hospital. I have never been happy with the service from the office staff and I am surprised with the lack of care they show regarding figuring out an important medical issue.

I’ve been going to Dr H for more than 6 years. Prior going to her, I went to a male doctor and every time he did a pap it was painful and when I got my iud I nearly passed out. I always thought I had a sensitive cervix. Then I went to Dr. H and she did a biopsy of my uterus entering through my cervix. I was so thankful she was quick and it was painless; just a little pressure. I ask questions when I don’t understand and she answers them and it does take weeks to get an appt but that’s a sign of a good doctor. If you want a quick appt good luck that’s a bad sign. If it’s an emergency she will get you in.

Dr. H saved my marriage due to horrible pre-manopasual symptoms. She knew exactly what I was going through, ordered blood test and the prescribed compounding HRT. Wow, does she talk fast but I feel great now! I waited 7 weeks to see her, because a friend highly recommended her. So glad I did.

Having been an irregular patient since 2014, I've been able to see her a half dozen times. Most times, she is rushed, doesn't explain herself or test results in detail. Gives short, curt answers which leaves you with more questions. She brushes you off and speaks down to you, instead of explaining. She is all about the upsell of new treatments that are unproven and very costly. I don't get the feeling she honestly cares about her patients, that she is money driven. I found a much better Dr.

Dr. H is very affable and intelligent, however, she talks way too fast and doesn't clarify what she's saying in layman terms. I'm a medical person and was a bit confused by some of her explanations for my situation. I wasn't asked if I had any questions which left me a little dumbfounded when I left.

I switched toDr H 2 years ago because of problems that my prior gyn advised would require a hysterectomy. Dr H was able to do some testing and resolve my problem without surgery. She's fantastic!! She also was unbelievably supportive and helpful when I went through my divorce. I can't recommend a Dr more highly!!!

Palm Beach Obstetrics & Gynecology does not see new patients. Only option is too see nurse practitioner. Next available appointment to see any doctor is 8 weeks away which is far too long if you already know you are pregnant.

I love Dr Hakkarainen, have been a patient for 8 years. She explains everything and makes you feel very comfortable.

Dr. H is awesome. I will not go to anyone else. I have referred friends to her and they love her just as much. She explains things so that you can understand them and is very open to you asking questions. When I had to have emergency surgery I am so glad that I was in her hands.

Can't think of one positive thing to say. Terrible experience.

Dr. H was very informative, and you can tell she is an expert in her feild. However, she rattles off information like a machine gun, and the consult is often over before the patient is given a chance to process information. I also felt the visit was just a way for the practitioner to make additional funds by encouraging patients to join her HcG and detox diet programs or pay for expensive injections and supplements. The customer service has also deteriorated, staff does not return calls.
