Dr. Jonna is great, technicians not so much
I had retina repair done by Dr. Jonna and as far as I can tell he did an excellent job with the surgery. I also felt very comfortable with the explanations Dr. Jonna gave me about the issues with my eye. Unfortunately, and in my opinion, the first technicians you see on a visit (the ones that take your blood pressure, dilate your eyes, etc.) range from bad to worse. I dreaded going to the office for follow up care so much that I eventually switched to a different doctor completely.

Excellent Doctor
I have been seeing him since 2018 after a car accident left me with a detached retina. He is personable. He makes sure I understand what is happening with my eyes. He answers all my questions.

Dr. Jonna exceeded my expectations
The level of expertise and professionalism I continue to receive from Dr. Jonna and team is such a blessing. I feel valued and cared for in a way that doesn’t happen so often in a doctor’s office. The state of the art equipment and advanced education is also a major factor and comfort.

Super grateful no disappointments.
I went in terrified for my child and that I had to be trusted with medicating him. Being directed with care on how to get through the process we successfully saw my sons health get better. My son is doing great with 20/20 vision. My heart is full when I was scared or we needed immediate care we were never turned away.Now that is great service.Im grate to the doctor and his dream team. Even his extended team if he wasn't available had the same quality care .Thank you thank you great thinkers for the sick.Best wishes to you all and your family.Stay the business for health sake grow more and more.

Excellent Physician
Dr Jonna is an excellent physician. He is very knowledgeable, but also careful and compassionate. My mother has Alzheimer’s, and he and his staff are great with her at every visit!

best care possible
Dr. Jonna is expert at making the most of my really bad eye/retina situation. I didn't expect to have ANY sight after a 95% macula-off retinal detachment that persisted for 6 weeks. Thanks to his excellent efforts, I do have vision, although my eye is still making us work for it. He continues to provide the best care possible for MY circumstances.

Dr. Gowtham Jonna and the staff at Retina Consultants of Austin are very professional, courteous, very informative, and genuinely concerned about their patients. Dr. Jonna and each member of the staff takes time to explain what the various tests and exams are for and what the results of each test and exam mean. Dr. Jonna has a very personal approach toward his patients, which makes the eye appointment feel more like a personal visit. I highly recommend Dr. Jonna if you are looking for excellent eye care.

I was a little unsure that I would agree to have the injection in my eye. Dr Jonna, explained everything, even talked about trials that I may qualify for. I was completely at ease and did not know when he gave the injection. I will certainly recommend him to my friends.

What a great group of people. I feel so comfortable here, as if I could just visit to say hi and check on everyone. All the staff is very nice and welcoming. I got the vibe that everyone loves their job. I like the feeling that people actually care about your health. I think it comes from Dr. Jonna. He must be the one to set the standard. He answered every single question I ask him. I love that he welcomes questions from his patients. I like the feeling that my Doctor actually cares about me. Thank you to the staff and Dr. Jonna.
