Dr. Gregg Jarit, MD

Will never use or recommend this Dr to anyone !! I had a torn meniscus which Dr Jarit repaired and arthritis My knee was never right where I went back for multiple knee drains and cortisone shots . He has terrible bedside manners where he would come into room not even saying hello and very abrupt . The staff in office at from desk were always chatting with no direction to be professional . Then we come to billing !!! He decides how he bills you for more money and get away with it . For instance what they did to me changing their codes where they would make a visit as surgery so I would have to pay more out of pocket and for the same thing they did on other visits they billed where I just paid a copay . Stay away from this practice !!!!

Don’t waste your time. From the moment my husband a I walked in the girls at front desk were talking so loudly and using curse words and going on to talk about their menstrual cycles for the whole waiting room to hear. Guess that should’ve been the first warning. Secondly don’t even believe he looked at my MRI. He didn’t even say my name so not even sure if he had the right room. Said complete opposite treatment that two other specialists referred me to him for and brushed off all my symptoms and I left more hopeless than I arrived. Very arrogant and playing with his hair while we spoke. Not professional at all.

I had a great experience with Dr. Jarit and his office staff. The office staff was very nice and caring. They have a great phone system set up and either answer or get back to you promptly. Appointments were always right on time. Dr. Jarit is personable. He looks you in your eye and let's you know that he cares. He performed arthroscopic meniscus repair surgery on me and did a great job. He was very informative about the course of action in my surgery, recovery and rehabilitation. We used St. Charles hospital for my surgery where I had a pleasant experience I am 4 weeks post op and finally walking again and nothing hurts. I highly recommend Dr. Jarit for your orthopedic needs.

Dr. Jarit is the absolute BEST !! My son broke his clavicle and needed surgery, we felt lost when Stonybrook ER discharged my son in the middle of night in excruciating pain , with really no regard to a follow up without my persistent calls. I decided then to call Dr. Jarit , he saw us right away , took the time to explain everything about the surgery, thoroughly went over the x rays and was able to calm a very nervous mom and a scared 16 year old. The surgery was a Success - he is very good at what he does ! I highly recommend Dr. Jarit!!

I also have to say that I did not have a good experience with Gregg Jarit. I would insist that he did not look at my x-rays nor the mri of my shoulder. Another Dr. looked at the same mri and noticed several issues that both the report and Jarit missed, though I think Jarit just went off of the report. A severe condition with my a/c joint and labrum tear are both apparent on the mri and the bone issues showed up clearly on an x-ray. After being told that he would not do anything about my condition and that I would be "insane" to want surgery I regret the time I spent with him.

Not a pleasant experience. He first walked in and started trash-talking another Dr.'s surgery on my other shoulder and seemed very perplexed that I was actually doing very well. I told him I believed I had a rotator cuff tendon tear and wanted an mri with contrast to show the tendons. He steadfastly refused to grant me that approval and just said a cortisone injection into my labrum tendon will fix everything. Arrogant and dismissive was his attitude and a waste of 2 visits. When I said how my injury was affecting my work he actually said "find something else to do". Let that sink in.

Dr. Jarit is an amazing Orthopedic Surgeon. He listens to you carefully and addresses your concern. He was kind and understanding and I liked his approach and form of treatment. I would highly recommend both him and his staff.

Can’t thank Dr. Gregg Jarit enough for getting me back to my active lifestyle. An accident at the gym resulted in a large tear to my rotator cuff and I decided to have surgery. I could not be happier with the results. I’m fully recovered, back at the gym, and living the lifestyle I am passionate about. He was awesome.

I had two very complicated knee surgeries which were both performed by Dr.Jarit and both surgeries were a huge success. I want to thank Dr. Jarit for all of his patience and knowledge in treating my knee.

I have been seeing Dr Jarit and his PA Alyssa for several years. Dr Jarit has done rotator cuff surgery with excellent results and Alyssa has treated me in the past for chronic knee issues. She has helped give me successfully with pain management and hopefully avoiding the possibility of knee surgery. I would highly both these medical professionals.

I thought I had an appt. today and it was the day before but Michelle was able to get me in to see Dr. Jarit. I was so happy because my schedule has been so busy and at times it takes weeks before you are able to see someone. Dr. Jarit explained very cleary what is going on with my knee and was very professional. I want to thank Michelle Dr. Jarit's assistant. She was very friendly and made my day since it's been a tough week for me.

Thank You so much Dr Jarit for the great care I received today from you and your wonderful assistant Allysa today. I was more than nervous coming in for the appointment that I put off for a few years. I was treated with great care, concern and all my questions answered. So glad to be your patient now, hope I don't see you for a while after that cortisone shot but if I do I will be confident in the great care I will receive again. Grateful.

Do not go to him, he is no specialist he’s a terrible doctor! He never touched my leg or looked at it. Took his nurses word, she looked at it b4 he entered the room. He came in & sat in his chair looked over what she wrote then said I’m not sending you for X-ray or mri we will send you to PT..? I fell 5 days prior & couldn’t walk. I had bruise bigger then dinner plate on my leg & foot was now swollen & purplish Black. And mis-diagnosed me on the prescription to his PT office. Shame on you!!
