I have experienced pain and loss of motion in both my knees for almost two years. Dr. Satow clearly explained to me my issues with osteoarthritis and we devised a plan together. Due to Dr. Satow's excellent surgery and care, in eight months I have had both knees replaced and I have a life again. Walking and hiking are so important to me, and I now have that freedom. Thank you Dr. Satow, Julie and staff for your expertise, care, and most importantly, listening and helping me through all the stages of my return to normalcy.

I went to see Dr. Satow for a second opinion two years after falling at home which resulted in an emergency surgery, right ankle trimalleolar fracture and a fifth metatarsal fracture on my left foot. I went from fairly active to a very sedentary lifestyle. I was very unhappy and could not accept this was my new normal. In July I had a second surgery and I'm doing so much better. I'm already able to walk more, less pain and very hopeful now. I can't say enough, Dr. Satow is my hero!

Dr. Satow really takes his time with all patients. He performed two surgeries on me (knee and elbow) within a year. Sometimes there are long wait times due to how thorough he is; but it's well worth the wait!

I have been seeing Dr Satow for more than six years. During this time he has been extremely caring and helpful for the two or so injuries I have each year. Last summer Dr Satow performed surgery on my left knee following an unfortunate encounter with an airport moving sidewalk. Now, six months later the knee is a good as new. Dr Satow performing the procedure was like having a trusted relative in the Operating Room. I would recommend Dr Satow to everyone looking for an orthopedic surgeon.

Dr. Satow performed a hip replacement on me in 2016, and I am really happy with the results! My arthritis was so bad I could hardly work at all, but now I'm able to be a fully functioning member of society and I can even take a walk after work!

Dr. Satow did my second hip replacement and I have been very pleased. My first (right) hip replacement was anterior lateral and I thought I wanted the same for my left hip but Dr Satow convinced me that a posterior lateral would be better and he was correct. My recovery was faster, easier, and gives me less discomfort than my first surgery. I would recommend Dr. Satow very highly to friends and family looking for and orthopedic surgeon.

I would highly recommend Dr. Satow in a nanosecond. He's an extraordinary surgeon: thorough, prepared, careful, and gives expert care. In addition, he's a great guy: amiable, informative and patient. He was my surgeon for an extremely difficult hip replacement; could not walk previous to the surgery. Now I'm thrilled to be hiking again-- and dancing.

Dr. Satie has replaced both my hips and a knee. The first hip was 17 years ago, I have never had any trouble with any of my replacements. The knee was done 2 years ago, and feels like an original part of my body. I couldn't be more pleased with all the work Dr. Satow has done.I trust him totally.

I have been a patient of Dr. Satow for almost seven years. He has performed many surgeries on me, from simple arthroscopies to complicated repairs of shoulders that refuse to heal. He has become a friend and someone I trust implicitly. His support and expertise helped me return to my nursing career (albiet in a different role) when other docs told me to think about retraining or retire on disability. He is honest and will tell you if he thinks another doc might be better at a specific procedure.

One of the best orthopedic surgeons in the Monterey Peninsula. I visited Dr. Satow to find a solution for a torn lateral meniscus on my right knee. Upon further evaluation, Dr. Satow determined the procedures that can be done to fix my knee along with the necessary recovery time. The procedure was quick and comfortable. Six months have passed since the surgery and during that period, I have returned to his office for regular checkups. This is the best my knee has felt since my injury.
