I cannot say enough about Dr. Andros, his nurse and the entire staff at Advanced Urology Associates. I had the Green Light procedure on my enlarged prostrate and they did everything to make me feel comfortable and relaxed. Dr. Andros explained each step of the procedure and the recovery process. If you, a family member or friend has concerns about their enlarged prostrate he is the Doctor to see. I would highly recommend Dr. Andros to everyone. He is the best.

I recently had the "Green Light" procedure done in November of 2020. I had an enlarged prostate and was having the usual problems of weak stream, urgency, and getting up 3-4 times nightly. Dr. Andros did the procedure that only took about 2 hours. After 3 weeks of post surgery recovery, I returned to my "normal" self. The stream was powerful and I had no problem emptying. The trips during the night decreased and so did the urgency to go. I am 66 years old and would recommend this to anyone experiencing these issues. It gave me a new outlook not having to locate the restroom every where I went! Dr. Andros and his staff were wonderful and caring and I give them all a 5 star rating.

Pros: Surgery was successful. Answered my questions. Cons: Felt pressured into having surgery. Didn't care about privacy/modesty during surgery, when asked about it later he wasn't respectful of my concerns. Didn't give full disclosure of the surgery, I had to find out from my records. Didn't explain things as well as he should have. Told my wife about private details of the surgery and aftercare in the middle of the waiting room. Overall I felt like I was just a job to be done and he didn't care about me as a person. So I found a different doctor for aftercare.

Have seen as many as 6 urologists in my lifetime and Dr Andros is the best by far. He has saved me from painful and discomforting situations twice. Once removing an ulcer in my bladder and performing a green light laser surgery on my prostate after years of discomfort. Wished I had found him sooner. Originally found him checking out the uro-lift procedure he performs which didn’t fit my situation. Ron Hopman Huntley Is.
