Very Satisfied
Dr. Bailey is very personable, and takes time to answer all of your questions. His explanations are thorough, and he doesn’t push you to have surgery. He says you’ll know when you’re ready. I would highly recommend him.

Scheduling with the staff person was rude.
I recently tried to schedule a consult with Dr Bailey as he did back surgery on my nephew a few years ago when he was just 20 years old. I called the office and told the lady I was looking for a 2nd opinion as one surgeon recommended a fusion and one recommended a laminectomy so I wanted to get Dr. Bailey's opinion on what he would do. His office called me back and left a voicemail that Dr. Bailey wasn't interested in treating or seeing me. They didn't even bother asking for more information or even looking at my images. Therefore I don't feel that I was treated with any respect or consideration.

Thorough, Capable, & Compassionate
Dr Baily is patient and consistently informative regarding both image diagnostics and function evaluation. I feel encouraged by his clarity of direction regarding high risk intervention as well as lifestyle recommendations. I trust his perspective as it applies to my personal injuries and pain management.

Excellent doctor and surgeon. He told me my surgery would be good for 10 years and it actually was good for 12. I will see him again and I recommend him to everyone. We are fortunate to have a surgeon of his caliber in this locality!

Great MD but hard to get in to be seen
I have had 2 surgeries with Dr Bailey- and emergent back disc and neck. He is a superb MD. I am in need of a fusion in my not too distant future, however, because he is in demand he is extremely hard to get into. Appointments get cancelled and my last appt took me 4 months to be seen due to cancellations. If you are in a hurry, Dr Bailey might not be your guy. But as a MD he is thorough, professional, and top notch in his Orthopedic surgical skills!

Not likely
I had back surgery. I only saw him once. He and his practice were not attentive to my care. I Spent over a week in nursing care at Foxdale Village. He would not return calls to the nurses. I would not recommend him.

Dr. Bailey is an excellent surgeon but also has great physician assistants also! I saw Erin Gilroy and Mike Reichert and they were both great and explained my diagnosis and options.

Very Rushed. Appts. get rescheduled frequently esp. surgical follow-ups. Not sure that he really listens to where you tell him you have pain. Just seems to look at the x-rays/MRI and determine what to do without listening to patient history.

He did surgery on my wife twice. After the first, her disc collapsed and it took him 4 months to operate again. He also changed his mind about her ability to work when my wife was suing Prudential for long-term disability. He sent them letters in the past stating that she most likely will never work again. When her lawyer contacted him, he didn't return the requested paperwork then said she could go back to work. He hadn't seen her for 3 years. You can't rely on him to stand up for you.
