Dr. Baum was very professional and did an excellent job on my breast reconstruction surgeries after my mastectomy. He was open to answering my questions and took time to explain procedures in detail prior to my surgeries. I also had good interactions with his PA for follow-up appointments when Dr. Baum was out of town. I definitely would recommend Dr. Baum to anyone needing breast reconstruction; my only hesitation is about interacting with his office staff. One experience was particularly frustrating and unprofessional on their part. At my first post-op appointment, they were incredibly disorganized and awkward, giving the impression that they did not have much experience interacting with post-cancer patients. For example, the staff had not pulled the correct medical file for me, they repeatedly called me the wrong name (even after my sister and I both corrected them), and did not communicate well regarding my care. Despite this one experience, I still recommend Dr. Baum as a surgeon.

My experience with the cny team was amazing! Dr. Baum was very informative with everything that was going to be done i felt very at ease during recovery I’ve seen both Baum and Dr. Liz and she’s been the sweetest as well! So gentle with everything and answering all of my questions and my results are absolutely life changing love everything about the team!

Dr Baum did my surgery about 6 months ago. He was available in the middle of the night (on call) to help me through a problem and came into his office the next day (Saturday) to check me out. I was impressed by his dedication and care! All staff were friendly and knowledgeable and always made me feel comfortable.

I am an obese woman. Obese women want to be beautiful too. So I went to him to see if he could do a tummy tuck on an obese woman. I believed that it was possible as I have seen pictures of it on plastic surgery websites. He walked into the examination room with a clipboard and the first words out of his mouth were "You are 100 lbs overweight!". He was able to see how much I weighed as it was in the notes he had. I had waited weeks for the appointment and heard good things about him..I was so hopeful. But I was crushed when he walked in and by the way, after he said that (he didn't even bother to say, "Hello, nice to meet you, I am Dr. Baum", he literallly walked in saying "You are 100 lbs over weight)..but the second most hurtful part was that he giggled. I was so hurt there are no words for this. It took me tremendous courage to make the appointment. Obese women can have some kind of surgery too. Just google tummy tuck for the obese. I would never have surgery by him.
