Dr.Bennett has been my Neurosurgeon since 1988. I came to see him initially, for a lower back injury. Dr. Bennett listened carefully. Dr. also asked me a lot of questions, to get an idea of what I hoped to achieve. The best advice, regarding my low back pain was twofold:#1. Hold off on surgury it's too soon after the injury and you're too young. Hardware will go in, and ultimately, more surgery would likely be reqired. #2. He repeated my own words back to me," Use the good body mechanics you're trained in as a NYS certified nurses assistant, throughout life and you may avoid surgury." I was 22. I am now 53, and have had acute/ chronic pain in all areas of my back that is close to unbareable; but it did and has not required surgury. In the last two years Dr. performed two succesful, bilateral ulnar nerve transplantation surgeries. I am grateful for not only his competence but also his compassion. The same applies to his staff, Mary and Patty. Do your research, that's what he taught me.

De Bennett removed a brain tumor from my husband. We both loved him and can't say enough good things about him...from his bedside manners , to his surgical skills. We would highly recommend him.

Dr. Bennett is incredibly smart, talented and above all, practical. He gives you the tools that you need to make the right decision about the care of your loved ones. He's a straight-up dude and I found him to be incredibly accessible--answering my calls after hours and taking what had to be a lot of time out of his day to help me. If I ever (God forbid) end up in a life-threatening position like my parents, I would want him to be my doctor. I give him 5 stars even on the stuff I'm not sure of!

Was more concerned with what types of supplements I took and what my diet consisted of. Asked weird questions about whether or not I had sleep apnea or asthma. I was there for a spinal injury from a fall and from lifting something too heavy. He even went as far as to tell me how to re-train for a different job in my field when he had no clue what he was talking about. Was not impressed with his bedside manner or his expertise.
