Dr. Gregory Grimberg, MD

Dr. Grimberg took his time and explained every detail of bariatric surgeries and the pros and cons. Dr. Grimberg is very Professional and answered every question I had. Dr. Grimberg was very welcoming and understanding and he gives people hope that think they can't lose weight or diet successfully. Dr. Grimberg gives you plan and diet that is personalized specifically for you. He is a great Provider very thorough and patient.

From the very first appointment with Dr. Grimberg (2/22?) until my surgery last week, all my appointments were made for me at my convenience. Every thing was taken care of and explained to me and I never felt like I was asking "stupid" questions. Dr. Grimberg called my bf to let him know how my surgery went and answered his questions as well. Excellent experience!

Very friendly staff. I had to wait close to an hour for the doctor, so having to be there 20 minutes before check-in and then waiting for the doctor, I thought it was kind of a long time. They did tell me he had to go to the hospital for something so I guess someone needed him more than I did at that time. I'll give him credit for that! Anyway, it wasn't awful but it was over an hour from check in until I saw him. Once he did come in, though, he was very efficient and explained the different procedures in a way I could understand.

My mom went here a couple months ago and has a severe problem with keeping food down. He said nothing was wrong and sent her home with 5 plus bottles of medication even though she couldn’t digest them. The problem got worse and she couldn’t even keep down shakes and was suffering from the lack of nutrition. She went to a new doctor today in Sioux Falls and did the same procedure and found her esophagus was completely closed. She is now getting a feeding tube until this doctor can slowly reopen it. If this doctor had an ounce of empathy and half a brain he would have seen the closing before it had fully closed. My mom has been suffering for 6 months because this doctor told her nothing was wrong and made her problems feel insignificant because she smoked cigarettes.

Dr. Grimberg was very thorough in his explanation of tests and possible surgery.

Dr Grimberg Took his time to discuss my procedure with me. He was very thorough & answered any questions that I had. His scheduler Amy Johanns was excellent at her job. And was a great help to me.

Dr. Grimberg explained what my problem was, even showing me drawings of what was normal and what was not. He then told me how my condition compared with the drawings. He was very thorough in questioning me about my health and about any symptoms I had. He then explained what tests he thought I needed and also what was involved with these tests. He also told me that these tests would be scored and that the score would ultimately determine the treatment or withholding of treatment that he would provide. He explained the levels of treatment and how they would affect my current condition. I really got the impression that he would only provide surgical treatment if it was absolutely necessary and would improve my condition better than medication could.
