Patient
I've been seeing Dr. Knopf for over 13 years. Up until recently I was very confident in his treatment/advice. He now seems to be in such a hurry during appointments and speaks mostly to his lap-top scribe. I was shocked when calling for an appointment and was told he was 5 weeks out for appointments for existing patients. I was put on a waiting list and was quickly notified of earlier appointments available and was directed to the office scheduling online. There were many available appointments to choose from. Why were these not available when calling for original appointment? Dr. Knopf was in such a hurry to end my appointment that I had to tell him I wasn't done yet. I'm sorta feeling he's at the end of his career and will start looking for another primary soon.

Excellent and always informative
My parents have always seen doctor Knopf and I started seeing him too after my other doctor went to Kaiser. I’ve been a patient now for about 15 years . Doctor Knopf is the best! He’s truly cares about his patients well being and wants the best outcome. He also has great bedside manor as well as very informative and always gives great referrals if one is needed .

Dr. Knopf is very knowledgeable and professional. He's a straight shooter, who won't waste your time or try to scare you. Also a kind and decent man. with a lot of empathy for his patients.

Dr. Knopf has overall provided me with good medical treatment. The main concern I have is that he often has both a male scribe plus a male medical student with him and I feel uncomfortable being in a small room with three men, sharing details about my body and showing my body. Additionally, Dr. Knopf seems unaware of where his hands are when he's touching you and talking. I have been laying on my back on the table and he has been talking with his hand too low on my abdomen and I felt uncomfortable. He could really do more to make his female patients feel more comfortable in his exam room.

Has been my primary care physician for 20 yrs. Since moving to the Portland area. Would go to no other. Staff extremely professional and have never had an issue with scheduling, questions answered or call backs when they say they will. I have to admit I've never had a life threatening emergency but I would still trust these people to make the right calls for me.
