Top notch! Entire team is phenomenal.
Everyone on my care team in Dr Nicholson's office was extremely caring, listen to my questions, and took the time to make sure I understood the answers. I was very frightened as my surgery was a result of an accident and I was basically having to have a completely unexpected surgery. Everyone, including the office staff was extremely professional and very well organized. My surgery was a success even though it had to be modified a little from what would normally be done, I am extremely happy with the results and cannot think Dr Nicholson and his team enough.

The Best in the Country
When I found out I needed a shoulder replacement, I asked around about the best surgeon, and I was told that he was at Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush in Oak Brook, and his name was Gregory Nicholson. I am now 6 months post-surgery, and my shoulder feels GREAT. Dr. Nicholson is not only an incredible surgeon, but he takes the time to make sure his patients recover completely. From checking up on me to making sure my physical therapy is on track, Dr. Nicholson and his team have brought me back to beast mode. I can't imagine a better surgeon or a better place to undergo the process than Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush in Oak Brook. It's an incredible facility with wonderful people, led by the best shoulder surgeon in the country.

Unusable Shoulder Useable Again
Range of motion in both my shoulders is very limited due to osteoarthritis arthritis and reaching is painful. 9 weeks after surgery I can reach - to hang up clothes, put dishes away, replace a book on a shelf. So many people reacted to my decision to have surgery as if it was a mistake. They were wrong. I got my life back. I am not in pain anymore, and my 2nd surgery is scheduled. Highly recommended Dr Nicholson and his team.

Multiple visits with Dr Nicholson
I visited Dr Nicholson multiple times for shoulder pain and rotator cuff surgery. I had a massive tear and he repaired perfectly. I was able to play golf, bowl, pickleball, and other sports thanks to him. I am 75 and so glad I listened to friends encouraging me to see him.He wastes NO time, just in and out. Thanks Dr Nicholson

Brusque but awesome
I dislocated and broke my shoulder this spring and Dr. Nicholson did a fabulous job with surgery and follow up visits. He's very kind and explained everything clearly and simply. As pleasant as he is, he does have a brusque manner that someone else pointed out, but I think its from knowing his stuff so well that he doesn't need a long drawn out visit. Quick and thorough. I'd highly recommend him.

Dr Nicholson was brusque rude dismissive at be
The doctor himself spent so little time hearing my case much less reading the data I brought with me he completely contradicted all of the radiologists interpretations telling me that radial is just make assumptions based on formulas ignoring my own medical training with an ignoring my questions as well as ignoring my tears he should do listen to his own words and do no more harm. The information garnered was perfunctory at best and speaks to his incompetence

Find a better expericence, not worth the stress!
Bad, this office is inept and unable to answer the phone on time, or provide proper administrative support. Run to a smaller office where you will be treated like a human being. I chose to not pursue surgery with this doctor. He should spend a little time to ensure his office support system is functioning properly.

Dr. Nicholson is the BEST!!
I received recommendations from friends who have had successful shoulder surgery. Several Physical Therapists highly recommended him. In fact the PT, at the office I had previous therapies for past surgeries, recommended him above their own Ortho surgeon. I have had two reverse shoulder replacements. Both surgeries and recovery have been 100% successful. His PA's, Lindsey, nurses and office staff are also as incredible as he is. Had surgery at Rush hospital in Chicago. Had a great stay post surgery. Nurses, visiting MD's were super and very helpful. The food was amazing at Rush as well. I was very glad my surgery was scheduled and not cancelled. Date was January 6, 2022 in Chicago. Very grateful they choose to replace my surgery on this date.
