Your trust is our top concern.

We strive to keep reviews honest, trustworthy, and fair.

Doctors can not pay for good reviews, nor can they pay to have negative reviews removed.

We monitor all reviews to ensure they comply with our guidelines and don’t include personal information, profanity, libel, defamation, harassment, obscenity or fraud.

Any reviews that are deemed fraudulent or violate our guidelines will be removed immediately.

All reviews are confirmed and audited before publication, and community members have the ability to flag inappropriate content for further review by our team.

Less than poor service
Any office visit is billed as a specialty whether you see the NP or Basra. Your blood work is done at another location and that is coded in a way that it is not covered under your insurance. Then you get a bill from the hospital for the visit, I guess this is to cover her office rent. Need a med refill? Try calling in and leaving a message with the service because you will not get through to anyone in the office.

Waste of time and money
Dr Basra is the worst physician I have ever seen. She not only isn't helpful, She is also harmful. She has misdiagnosed me for approximately 5 years and had me on very strong medicines which I did not need. Her bedside manner is cold and uncaring and she seems more interested in ordering large batteries of tests each visit. Her office staff reflects her unprofessional attitude and they are also rude and uncaring.Dr Basra seems interested only for monetary purposes, and has absolutely zero investments in her patients well-being.Her practice would never be viable in a larger city as she would have competition.I have never met a single patient satisfied with their experience and most seem to default to her because there is only one other rheumatologist available in the Lake Charles area. Her diagnoses are questionable and I would encourage all of her patients to seek a second opinion.

Compassionate, Professional & Holistic care
Dr. Basra has been my Rheumatologist since her Lake Charles practice opened. She is a most valued member of my healthcare team. She collaborates with other members when appropriate and considers how my diagnosis may affect each body system. She went above and beyond when I traveled to New York to work as a nurse during COVID. I highly recommend her and her team!

Great Doctor
She was so patient and kind. So comfortable to talk with. You can tell she cares about her patients and wants to find answers and help you get back to feeling normal. So many doctors miss so much stuff because they are always in a hurry. She was not at all. She was very concerned at so many levels and I love that. She took the time to listen and made me feel so important that she wanted to get me better. And just super sweet and kind. Very thankful I was sent to her and not another Doctor

Although she is great and helping me manage through finding what my condition is, I really wanted to say how great her staff is. I get regular blood work and normally this is a source of anxiety for me. I’m the type to get light headed and nearly pass out when getting blood drawn. But Martina, Olivia and Sarah are amazing. From the first visit they have surpassed my expectations. They are calm and caring, and I honestly don’t know how they do it, but I always manage to leave like how I came in. No cold sweats, no dizziness, never feeling like I need to lay down when it’s over. They are magical and need to be acknowledged for their amazing abilities. They take the time needed and find the vein that works, not just the first option. I’ll be the first to admit I have horrible veins, but even if it takes a poke or three they get the job done with the most care and concern I have ever had. So keep them, and give them the praise and all the accolades; because they are amazing. Thank you.

I was so impressed with her knowledge and advice on what test and bloodwork needed to be done to start treatment. I went to her several years ago but chose alternative treatment. Looking back, I should have taken her advice and started treatment. With that being said, she was very kind and talked to me like a friend and will do her best to get my quality of life back. This Doctor ROCKS. Got my meds right first try??

Several years ago I was referred to Dr. Basra by my primary physician. My condition has remained stable throughout all of my initial visits. During those visits I was asked about the level of joint pain I was experiencing as though these symptoms should be expected. Each time I reported a minimal amount of joint issues. In regards to a change for the worse in the future, I inquired about treatment options available. The only options Dr. Basara offered were medications which included serious side effects. I inquired about alternative treatments such as an anti-inflammatory diet. I was shocked to learn they offered no advice at that time. I did my own research and found several foods and supplements to add to my diet. My condition improved. I have not seen Dr. Basara in three years. Now I seek her advise for an upcoming pre-cancer treatment. She will not see me unless I have my primary physician issue a "new referral." I will get a new referral, but not for Dr. Basara.

Dr. Basra is very intelligent and knows her profession better than many MDs these days. Her professional attitude may come across as ‘distant’ but if you go to see her for a legitimate ailment, and not just for pain management, she will do everything to try and help you. Read her bio. She is well educated, extremely smart, and a reliable source of honest and competent patient care. JD APRN

She caused me to lose my Doctor. She doesn’t know me or what I go through. Now I have no medicine for my pain. I’m literally bedridden most of the time. She doesn’t care about it. I’m almost 53, and have had 8 Open abdominal surgeries, fibromyalgia, previous PE, 3 bowel obstructions with ng tube. My pain is so severe, and now nothing I can do. They think everyone is a drug addict. So sad she done this to me. I was open minded about any treatment options to help. Crying daily. No Doctor now. Done

She is a true professional with compassion. She has awesome bed side manners and treats her patients with respect. She investigates the health issue uses strong conviction to get to the source of the problem. She is not afraid to reach out to other health professionals if needed to care for her patients. Most importantly if she does not know how to get to the source of the health problem/s she will tell you so and direct you where to go seek help. My experience she never tried covering up source

After sitting in the office for an hour and a half when she finally came in to see me and talk to me her attitude was demeaning and rude. She stated that “It seemed that I wanted a diagnosis” and that I should be happy that “nothing was wrong with me”. Weeks later I went to another doctor who confirmed a diagnosis. She laughed off my symptoms to my face and made me feel very stupid for saying how I felt.

I feel as though she really doesn't care, I know she doesn't know what time management is, because she makes me wait deliberately. My grandfather was a patient of hers also, he has pasted, but he couldn't stand her. If you have an appointment for 8:00, show up at 7:50 and they call you out of the big waiting room, to go to the little waiting room at 8:10, go back their and nurse ask questions and takes blood pressure, then leaves, then I wait 45 minutes for her to see me, this is redickuls.
