Dr. Rodriquez: this nurse says he is expert!
I have been under Dr. Rodriquez care for ovarian cancer for 5 months. His practice is excellence in healthcare at NorthShore Evanston. He is an expert surgeon who teaches his craft at University of Chicago. He wants excellence in surgery and in the clinic and it shows! I am a nurse of 50 years and the staff is the best I have ever seen. From the registrars to the nurses everyone is conscientious and very compassionate.

I have had Dr. Rodriguez and his staff see me through a recent health challenge and surgery. I am relieved to know such medical excellence still is available in these days of rushed visits with harried medical professionals, and more so since the stresses of the pandemic upon hospitals, doctors, and nurses. What a comfort. Dr. Rodriguez came highly recommended and was personable, generous, and in no way condescending. The actual surgery was perfectly smooth and the hospital experience at Evanston Northshore was well organized all the way. Everyone was kind and I am very grateful to this team, and the people at Kellogg Cancer Center.

I had an appointment and was running late (car trouble). They told me they would hold the appointment. I got lost trying to get there and tried to call repeatedly but they weren't answering. I finally got there 30 minutes later and they cancelled my appointment on me after driving over an hour to get there. They (the nurse and receptionist) were rude about it too. My job had ended and this was my last day of medical coverage. Their suggestion was to pay out of pocket and talk to their finance person. Real nice. I had the appointment on the books for close to a month. Worst of all, I am still horribly worried about what could be wrong with me. They took that all the away from me, I was in tears, just devastated. Where is the compassion?

Dr. Rodriguez is the one you absolutely must have on your side ! Very Knowledgeable and attentive, listens carefully to any of your problems, checks on his patients during , before and after chemo . You have a feeling he is fighting for your life in your corner 24/7. Very impressive credentials but most important is the way he customizes treatment for each patient and how heartfelt and personal each of your problems To him. Amazing staff , following his lead. It's very frightening dealing with a cancer diagnosis, a cancer doctor and cancer surgery. Dr. Rodriguez instilled confidence the 1st time I met him. He explained the full diagnosis, is very matter of fact and non extremist and I really appreciated in hospital when I had my surgery - he always entered my room with a smile. Even if he put it on the minute before he entered - it worked for me. He knows the area of gyne oncology very well and I am in ongoing treatment. He's quite qualified.

Dr. Rodriguez performed a robotic removal of my uterus, ovaries and fallopian tubes on July 20, 2016. I was blessed to have a chance to meet him, and have him as my doctor. He is a real expert in his field and more over he is a very conscious, caring and trustworthy person who has been dedicated to his patients. I would always recommend him.

I saw Dr. Rodruiguiz for a second opinion. Dr Rodruiguiz said you need a leep right now . He had never examined me . He prepped me for the leep even grounded me to the machine . Then after looking around stopped , i and said I can't do this. He said I need to see you in the OR but never explained why . His nurse said he doesn't talk to patients so I could not talk to him even tho he was sitting next to her. in his report he never mentioned the incident. He lied about lack of consultation .
