Not fit to be called a Doctor!!!
8:00 am appointment. Arrived and signed in at 7:45 am. Callen into exam room @ 2:45 PM. Nurse came in to exam room at 3:00 PM and took my vitals and said the Dr would be in to see me in about 5 minutes. Dr came in to exam room @ 4:50 PM. He ask me 'What do you need?' I explained the problems I was having. 'HE said. What do you expect? You are old, you have COPD, you are a diabetic, You have high blood pressure, and you are obese. AND you expect me to preform a miracle? You should just go home and curl up in a corner and die. IS THIS THE KIND OF DR YOU WANT TREATING YOU OR MEMBERS OF YOUR FAMIL???

Worst Dr ever
Worst Dr ever, only took 3 minutes of his time, told me I had a little stone and that he was not concerned about it. Went to the emergency room, passed the stone, I was in so much pain. Never will I see him again!

Had Turp surgery done by Dr Villegas on 10-4-21 & he was magnificent. Surgery was a success & I experienced hardly any pain. Dr Villegas is extremely caring & very thorough. He is easy to understand & makes one feel very comfortable. I’ve been his patient for several years & feel fortunate to be under his care.

Dr. Villegas is a GREAT DOCTOR. I am Blessed to have a doctor like Him. I needed urgent care for both of my kidneys that no other doctor could figure out what to do being it was such a critical care situation. I was sent to San Antonio Methodist Hospital and from there they let me know Dr. Villegas was here from the valley and would help me with my kidney condition. I placed an appointment at DHR Urology with him and was relieved when He reassured me He would take care of me. He let me know it would be a process. Needless to say it took a year of surgeries and nephrostomy replacements but I have fully recovered. He's caring, intelligent and overall and EXCELLENT doctor.

I had surgery two weeks ago on April 16, 2020 at DHR. I was concerned about having the surgery during the COVID pandemic. My doctor, Dr. Gustavo Villegas kept me well informed as how the situation was going with COVID which helped us make my decision of having the surgery. Dr. Villegas is awesome he is very compassionate and cares about his patients. He spends the time explaining thoroughly and he makes you feel very comfortable. He has awesome bedside manners. The day of the surgery I checked in to DHR and my husband went with me. He was allowed to be with me until I had my surgery. All the nurses were very nice and attentive. The anesthesiologist was great she came in explained everything she was going to do and gave me suggestions of what to do afterwards and the importance. Dr. Villegas also came in to check up on me before the surgery and talked to us explained what he would be doing and what to expect that was very reassuring. He took all the precautions needed to take care of me

This doctor did not give my case the proper time. He was way to lax with my situation causing me undue pain and stress. I would not recommend him. Dr. Villegas performed a prostate biopsy and didn’t give me results for over one month. My biopsy was positive for cancer and Dr. Villegas wasn’t going to work on a treatment plan for another 30 days. Meanwhile my situation worsened. I finally chose to get Medical care outside the valley because Dr. Villegas did not meet my expectations.

When my physical was performed by my PCP my urine came back with microscopic blood in my urine. I was recommended for further testing with Dr. Villages. I underwent various testing to determine the source of the blood in my urine. The tests performed were CT Urogram, Cystoscopy, and urine culture. I was hoping that after all the testing I underwent I would have an answer to my issue. I underwent the procedure called a Cystoscopy it was uncomfortable and painful. They put a lens down the tube of my Uretha and evaluate my bladder and the tubes going to my bladder. Dr. Villegas came into the procedure room and was stoic in his demeanor. He's strange... doesn't communicate with patient. As he's performing the procedure he doesn't explain what he's doing and doesn't reassure the patient that everything is okay.... or were almost done. .. or sorry for the slight pain.. NOTHING! Once finished he says UNDETERMINED and starts to walk out of room .. I"m like wait explain?

Caring, knowledgeable, great bedside manner showing respect for the patient & planning care WITH them. Follows through with the plan of care, trying alternatives if the initial plan didn't work out quite right. Couldn't be more pleased. Reasonable ( not lengthy) wait times to be seen.
