Staph septicemia
I’m A nurse anesthetist and have been around physicians my entire career of 25 years. Dr. chambers is one of the best physicians I have ever met. He listens to his patients and looks at the patient! Labs are a guideline. He lets the patients symptoms direct his actions which is so much better because it allows you to catch things earlier. Before they show up on test results. I highly recommend

Staph infection of the blood – Jun 23, 2022

He abandoned my sister when she needed him most
When he first treated my sister for a hip joint replacement infection, he seemed as if he cared and visited her room daily. I asked him if he would be my sister's infectious disease doctor going forward, since she also had a history of C.diff, and I was worried that it would return. He looked me in the eye and said he would. A month later, my sister's health took a turn for the worse--we had her in hospice care, but she was not in immediate danger of dying. When her C.diff returned, we were advised to revoke hospice care and have her admitted to the hospital. But he wanted nothing to do with her. He saw "hospice" and washed his hands of her, even though hospice had been revoked. I begged the hospitalist to speak with him. C.diff was the main factor preventing us from treating the infection she had been in hospice for, but Dr. Chambers refused to offer the standard (inexpensive) treatment for C.diff--we would have paid for it. I had trusted him and he abandoned her. It was unforgivable.

Dr. Chambers was consulted on my mother who was in the hospital with sepsis and aspiration pneumonia. He came to see her as soon as he was asked. It was late at night on a weekend. He was very thorough and ordered all the testing needed to get her the appropriate treatment. He continued to follow up on her daily for the entire length of her hospitalization. We were so very grateful to him for being on the case and making my mother well again. He was of great comfort to our whole family

My husband Ron was at MO Baptist Medical Center for five days, a week ago today, with Cellulitis. Ron's left arm and hand, and both of his ankles were double their normal size. All of Ron's vitals were very good. Dr. Chambers worked tirelessly to find the cause and to find the correct antibiotic IV treatment. He was there til 1:00 am on the second night, on Saturday and Sunday. We have had so many doctors over the years. Dr. Chambers expertise, kindness, and thoroughness was exceptional.
