Lacking in bedside manner
While Dr. Manetti is clearly technically competent, he lacks the interpersonal skills necessary to be a truly good physician. My visit with him felt hurried. He spoke loudly, rapidly, and used many technical terms, some of which I did not understand (and I am well informed). He was openly skeptical when I reported a urinary tract infection, implying that I likely had contaminated the urine sample, even though I reported several symptoms that were indicative of an infection.

Pleasant conversation about issue, listened and asked follow-up questions. Suggested a course of treatment and had the office reach out to insure all was going well and book a follow up appointment. Visit was performed via Telehealth due to pandemic, but was great.

I would definitely recommend Dr. Manetti. He's taken care of 2 of my kidney stones, and spent the time to explain to me how to prevent them in the future. So far so good since. I have recommended him to several friends who have all felt the same way.

I would not refer anyone to see him. I felt he had no time nor interest in listening to my concerns. Was not concerned nor caring of issues. Did not see him as a supportive doctor.

I highly recommend Dr. Manetti and Danbury Urology! Upon my first office visit, I was told that I needed a catheter ASAP. I remember thinking when he left the room to get his equipment, to actually "bolt" for the door" and take my chances. I am so glad I did not. My prostate had grown together around my urethra and caused me to go into retention. Wearing a catheter until my Green Light Laser surgery was pretty miserable, but looking back, I am sure I dodged a life-altering bullet.

My dad had prostate cancer. He really took the time to explain options to both my parents as well as to myself and my brother. He didn't make me feel rushed at all. He also was not pushing procedures on us. In the end we decided to operate, but we felt like we made the decision with all the proper information. Outcome was great for my Dad.
