Dr. Gyan Surana, MD

Dr. Surana spends his time with his patients. He is detailed and thorough. He is compassionate and cares for his patient’s wellbeing. It is easy to get an appointment. The staff is great.

Dr. Gyan Surana refused top sign a work physical because I had back pain in the past. Dr. Gyan Surana was more concerned with his own liability than helping his patients. Dr. Gyan Surana ran (and charged for) tests that I did not ask for. Dr. Gyan Surana bills twice.

Takes his time and really listens to his patients.

My mother, age 79, was admitted for stroke rehabilitation where Dr. Surana was the medical doctor. He discontinued all of her pain medication without consent which put her into a narcotic withdrawal psychosis.

I would do a zero rating if I could. My mother has been a patient of this man for 10 years while in her nursing home. My mother was injured and sent to a local hospital. This “provider” completely dropped my elderly late stage Alzheimers mother when he knew there are no providers accepting new patients due to Covid. She is bed bound, immobile and is a week out from hip replacement. Since this man dropped her she has no one to write her order for even home health care or her PT. I guess he assumed offering a 30 day supply of her thyroid meds was good enough. I have worked along side physicians for 16 years both back office and admin and I have never seen such a thing. We received no 30 day notice, we received no reason other then she would be starting palliative care at the end of the month and it was not written as law requires. . Because he dropped her care we have completely lost her Medicare benefit of home health and services.. I am beyond disgusted and since reported him.

I was not happy, did not get a diagnosis at all, just sent me home suggesting routine tests totally unrelated to a painful condition that I still have months later. I made an appt for a specific complaint, not an routine physical. If that was supposed to be a physical, it was not very thorough. If he was unable to diagnose my problem, he should have referred me to a specialist... I am still suffering w/ whatever it is. The office staff is OK, but will not be going back. He was condescending- I am NOT stupid I am just very afraid of doctors. Maybe he is a good doctor, but he had no interest in finding out what was wrong with me or treating it.
