Dr. Sun performed cervical surgery on me in Shreveport, LA. He left my spine bent forward instead of straight. It has been a horrible experience!. I will be in pain for the rest of my life. I will always look bent forward. Never saw him after surgery.

Be prepared to wait a minimum of an hour past appt
The earliest I’ve ever seen the doctor is one hour past my appointment time and normally it’s an hour and a half. No explanation, no apology. Neither he nor his PA actually listen to you. Walk, or run if you’re able away from this doctor. Last visit, he walked in and introduced himself to me. I’d seen him three time previously.

My father in law had a brain tumor. Sadly, the news on the tumor was not good, but the surgery went exceptionally well. Dr. Sun took the time to explain everything to us going into the procedure, and following the procedure. He was extremely helpful and professional in the worst of medical circumstances. My wife and mother in law were obviously very scared, and had a lot of questions. Dr. Sun was caring, compassionate, and more than willing to walk us through options and the decisions being made. Thank you, Dr. Sun. We have a long road ahead, but thanks to you the road is longer and starting off better than it would have without you.

Pain management after surgery is horrible. Have your regular Dr. on standby after surgery to call in pain medicine for you, if needed. It's been a few days since my spinal surgery and I'm still in such intense pain that I shake all over and barely had any sleep since the surgery. Even after explaining this to his nurse I was told (paraphrasing) that "The most we can prescribe, per office policy, is 1 Loratab 5 mg with Flexeril, every 8 hours.”
