Dr. Kakkar was very thorough with the exam for Parkinsons Disease. He has virtually eliminated my having Parkinsons Disease, and I come back for a third appointment to make sure we haven't missed something. I was more than pleased with my experience with Dr. Kakkar. He is very personable and willing to answer any questions you may have. Regards, Karen Redel

Very Happy with the care I received.
Dr. Kakkar and his staff were very warm and friendly . I was called and asked if I would like to come in earlier for my appointment, that they had a cancellation and an appointment had opened up. I was very happy about this. Dr. Kakkar took his time and answered all my questions.

I saw Dr. Kakkar today because I'm trying to transfer care from Children's Hospital to adult care facilities. I've met hundreds of medical professionals in my time, some good, some bad. Dr. Kakkar and his assistant are part of the latter, no question. In fact, I'd go as far as to say they were of the worst I have ever had care from. His assistant was short with me, impatient, rude, and inconsiderate of my disabilities. Dr. Kakkar had little to no bedside manner, he was unprofessional and unprepared, and he didn't seem to care about my history or symptoms. The only person in his office that I did like was his receptionist. She was very caring and polite. She can be the doctor, and he can be the receptionist. But they would still have to find a new MA because she was awful. If you receive a referral to see Dr. Kakkar, I strongly recommend asking your referring physician to send you to literally any other neurologist in your area.

Dr Kamkar has a terrible bedside manner. He shows little interest in your symptoms or concerns like he already knows what he is going to prescribe before he even talks to you. I felt like just a dollar sign to him. At one appointment he told me I would benefit from cosmetic bo-tox and gave me the info to were his wife works. His front desk lady comes across as if you are interrupting her personal life. I watched her put multiple people on hold While she finished a long personal conversion with 2 coworkers. Another time when I was the first appointment of the day she saw me then proceeded to call her husband finally another lady in the office whispered I think she is here for Dr Kakkar. Instead of ending her call she had her walk me back. The last conversation I had with her she was not only rude and short but belittled me to the point of putting me in tears. I will say one good thing about that office he had a wonderful medical assistant but.... she Quit.

He was able to help me after going through many providers. I would absolutely recommend him for anything neurological! Although bedside manor could be improved, I still find him trustworthy and very intelligent. Honestly, I would rather have someone who can treat me and make me better than someone who coddles me and can't help solve my health issues. Just to clarify he is not mean or harsh, he is honest and straightforward, I think we need more of this in the healthcare world!

I have MS and a dangerous result is to blame any degeneration of ability on it. Dr. Kakkar's quick actions to the discovery that I had bilateral subdural hemotomas saved my life. He's my neurologist.

Dr. Kakkar should have his license revoked. After my insurance denied to cover the copious screenings (MRI MRA) Dr. Kakkar order, him and his office cut off all communication with me. They failed to return numerous calls and would not provide follow up for next steps or alternative treatments. But don't worry, they made sure to send me a bill ASAP.

His staff is extremely rude and unprofessional, they blame the pharmacy when they make a mistake with medication. Dr Kakkar makes a lot of mistakes and I would not recommend him to anyone, ever. His staff is rude and uncaring. There are plenty of neurologists in town. Steer clear of this one.

Dr Kakkar is my second neurologist since I was diagnosed with Parkinson's. The first neurologist was very impersonal, I usually only got to see the physician's assistant. Dr Kakkar has been the opposite! he is very personal and caring. He has been a great help treating my Parkinson's and encouraging me to do the Deep Brain Stimulation to improve my quality of life. I would recommend him to anyone who is looking for a great neurologist.

I have been a patient of Dr. Kakkar's since 2005. Beginning with my first appointment I have had complete trust in him. He always answers my questions, taking the time to explain my treatments and medications. Dr. Kakkar and his staff make me feel like family, always friendly and courteous. I have recommended him to family and friends.

My first visit with Dr Kakkar was not the best. His demeanor was serious. But as I got to know him, I realized he cared about me as if I was his dad. As far as his expertise as a neurologist, he is one of the best. For example, he made the option of having Deep Brain Stimulation available to me since I had Parkinson's disease. He encouraged me all along the way. His staff is awesome. Very friendly.

Dr. Kakkar has been a blessing in my life. I had been experiencing hand tremors, often severe, and other neurologists had brushed this off as essential tremor. On reviewing my situation, Dr. Kakkar discovered that I was on a nearly toxic dose of gabapentin; as we cut down that dosage and added a small dose of topamax, the tremor has all but disappeared. I have had a most positive experience in working with Dr. Kakkar, and would gladly recommend him to anyone needing a good neurologist.

Dr. Karkar changed my life. I have had seizures since birth until I started seeing Dr. Karkar in 2002. He recommended that I have a Vegas Nerve implant and since then I have only had a couple of seizures. I feel he is giving me the best of care and I am thankful he is my doctor.

Dr Kakkar is very quiet, confident and thorough. I trusted him after my first visit and felt that I could trust his diagnosis of my condition. He spent as much time with me as was necessary allowing me to ask what ever questions I had. Since my first appointment I have had several followup appointments to adjust medication. He performed the necessary exam with the same manner as my first visit. His experience made me feel very comfortable. Staff was friendly and courteous.

I have been a patient of Dr. Kakkar for about 8 years. He has been treating me for essential head tremor with botox injections to back of neck. I receive injections every three months. He and his staff have always treated me with courtesy and in a professional manner. Any questions I have ever had were answered thoughtfully. I would personally recommend Dr. Kakkar to anyone in need of a qualified and honest neurologist.

I have been seeing this doctor since early 2001. He is a great doctor. He has always been attentive to my medical needs. Even during my divorce he saw me as a private pay patient. He explained to me what the cost would be and I just brought the money with me to the appointment, no problem. The staff are great. There always very friendly and considerate. This doctor has even called me at home on the weekend to see how I was feeling after a hospital ER visit. And I can ask questions if I want !

I have been a patient of Dr. Kakkar's for more than 10 years. He has always been very thoughtful, concerned about my seizure condition and LISTENS to me. I never feel rushed through an office visit, Dr. Kakkar gives me his full attention. I would recommend Dr. Kakkar 100% And Brenda who schedules appointments has been with Dr. Kakkar as long as I've been a patient, 10 years or more, she's professional with a sense of humor, making it a pleasure to work with Dr. Kakkar and his team.
