Outstanding surgeon

My father was in terrible pain for years from Trigeminal Neuralgia. We finally got a diagnosis and was referred to Dr. Razavi. From the first visit we knew we were in excellent hands. I thought his quality of life was over and then Dr. Razavi informed us that he can in fact do surgery on my father who is 88 years old. This very serious surgery was handled wonderfully in Dr. Razavi’s knowledgeable hands. He specializes in this surgery. 3 months later my 88 year old father is out of pain and living a better quality of life than he has in years. If anyone has Trigeminal Neuralgia I strongly recommend Dr. Razavi to be your surgeon. He gave my father his life back. His staff is wonderful. His assistant Julissa was constantly in contact with us helping navigate anything we needed. I can’t thank them enough and will forever be grateful to them and the Cleveland Clinic for saving my father.

Trigeminal Neuralgia: An MRI showed that the right Trigeminal nerve was being bisected by the right cerebellar artery; Dr. Rizavi suggested 'microvascular decompression' where a teflon 'pillow' is used to separate the nerve from the artery. After surgery I had no pain and could eat, talk, move my tongue in my mouth, etc, etc without TN pain for the first time in weeks. I highly recommend Dr. Rizavi and Cleveland Clinic and take the Carbamazapine prescription until your surgery date.

Dr Razavi understood my condition exactly. He listened carefully as we reviewed all of the other treatments I had tried, without success. He recommended a new procedure that was proving to be successful. I agreed and so did my Medicare Advantage provider. His staff was very helpful in scheduling the surgery and post-op visit.I can report 100% relief from severe headaches and neck pain. I highly recommend Dr Razavi and Cleveland Clinic.

Dr. Razavi is the best! He addressed all my concerns, reviewed my images in great detail, and answered all questions regarding my treatment plan. I am so lucky to have found such a great neurosurgeon.

Dr. Razavi, did not take my situation seriously, he lacked compassion, empathy and efficacy as a doctor. He heard superficcially my symptons and without giving me an effective option for the ongoing pain and discomfort that I expressed having for the past year he dismissed me and told me that I had to live with the pain and discomfort. He referred my to other doctors with out giving me a plan that can potentially allieviate me in the mean time. Had an appointment with UM and the appointment and doctor were different from the beginning of the appointment session. Be your self advocate and always look for the best for yourself. Would not recommend Dr. Razavi nor Cleveland clinic for nuerology.

Dr. Borghei Razavi is an amazing person and doctor. I had very high cortisol levels that affected my blood pressure, weight gain, fatigue and more. From the start he was very comforting that everything was going to be okay and that the surgery would be the best choice for me. He explained to me and my mom absolutely everything every step of the way. I felt very safe with him. He was very caring and an absolute professional. It’s been 6 months since my surgery and I couldn’t feel better. I’m so grateful for his life and everything he did for me. I would recommend him 1000%

I had a pain shooting down the right side of my face that prevented me from talking, eating, drinking brushing my teeth, etc., Dr Razvai knew my diagnosis immediately. After the procedure, I did not experience anymore pain in my face. As a result, I don’t need to take the pain medication anymore. He was patient and listen to me and also very caring. I will recommend him to anyone..
